 Wonderful, wonderful site.
We came here after one day in the horrible Zagarella.
This is a total contrast. Big, flat, open pitches - generously proportioned. Power and water convenient to all pitches.
Covered swimming pool. Free wifi. Spotless sanitary blocks.
The site is a little out of the way, so it's a few extra minutes to the beach, but it's calm and friendly.
There's a local village 5 minutes away for shopping (though the site office carries a few essentials and bread can be ordered).
The site includes a couple of lakes and wooded areas.
There's a concrete 'chiminea' style barbecue you can use. There are areas where you can walk, picnic etc. There's a table-tennis table, basketball court and a 2-hole golf practice area. There's a bar on site, and a couple of times a week there's some sort of show.
There are no big water-slides etc if that's your thing, but it's a lovely site if you prefer a slightly less busy atmosphere.
Cars are not to be left on pitches - there's a secure parking area - and this contributes to the open feel. You can bring your car around to load/unload, so it's not a problem.
The site owner supervises it personally, and is here overnight some days (and lives nearby anyway) and is *lovely* - could not be more helpful, and the rest of the small staff are equally charming.
We've already booked for next year.
