Here with a Motorhome rally of 15 units - new Elsan point added and a new toilet block opened since our last visit.
The owners here are fantastic - if you are looking for a nice quiet stellplatz with facilities including electric -then this is the place to be. An hourly train service to Bingen and Worms.
There is a newly built Supermarket in town (Treef) and new Deli selling local meats and veg as well as a Coffee Shop.
No charge for parking if you buy some of their wines
Top place to stop with a nice family - a new wine production facility is being built with a toilet dump station and a new toilet block has been opened in the restaurant area. A new supermarket is being built in the village - 10 minute walk from the site.
Buy 6 bottles of wine and stay for 2 nights free of charge.
Made a return visit with 21 Motorhomes in our group - the site is very good and the people who run the site are first class - Corinna(speaks good English) and her husband could not have been more helpful. The site is in a great position at the foot of the vineyards but next to the small village. Lovely restaurant on site with local produce used and very reasonable prices. Corinna organised a splendid wine tasting for all the guests and we enjoyed a tractor ride around the vineyards along with lots of wine (€15) for the trip which lasts over 2 hours. The facilities are basic and the only downside is no toilet emptying facility (1km away from site) although there are toilets in the restaurant which are open from 8. 00am.
This is a fairly new site next to vineyard and wine Cellars. There is a flat grassed area which will take around 20 units - There are 8 Electric hook ups and toilet facilities are available in the on site restaurant.
The village of Gau-Bickelheim is just minutes away and has a Baker and small supermarket. Next to the site is the railway station and you can get a train to either Bingen or Worms. There was very little noise from the train.
The restaurant is weekends only but wine tastings can be organised anytime.
This is family business but Daughter-in-law Corinna speaks perfect English.
