I am sorry to say this was not the best of stays for us.
The site is on a hill so it was hard to find a good site as the pitches are small and none appeared flat, I ended up choosing the best of a bad bunch which meant some very difficult towing (read burning clutch and sliding wheels) which meant we didn't get off to a good start. To add to the bad start I didn't realize I had pitched under a berry tree that dropped berries all night! Took some time to get the stain off the roof. Just the thought of it now makes me cringe.
There are several ancient old caravans that have appendages which are hired out. They did not look very appealing (OSB and duct tape was well represented). There were two facilities blocks and one of them was very dated, only one toilet the rest were stoopers, there were dozens of sinks of all types doted around and 2? showers. I can't say I studied it any more than I had to. The other facilities near the reception were newly built and miles better than the old ones but I would not call them intuitive. Several doors but you didn't know what was behind them until you opened them, some sinks, some proper toilets (take your own paper) and 4 showers (2 out of order). Lots of hot water.
There were also several large sinks dotted around the site which were surrounded by overgrown grass, they appeared to have taps. I wasn't sure if these were fresh water or disposal points. I didn't ask as either way I didn't want to know the answer.
There was a small playground on site.
We mainly stayed as we wanted something in the country and something near the Puy De Dome which is worth a visit.
Shopping facilities were not near, 30 mins as other review notes.
Found it very very expensive for the facilities compared to what we got at the next site for less money.
As you can gather, I will not be visiting again.

This site is situated between Puy de Dome and Mont Dore departements and is within easy distance of either. The site is in the small village of St Bonnett which unfortunately is down to only one general shop - however it has good bread. More shops are available at Orcival, 10 minutes drive away but be warned you will have to travel for over 30 minutes to get more varied provisions. The site is roomy with great views of Puy de Dome. Facilities are good. Staff are friendly. The site has a bar / restaurant but the food when we were there was not great. The bar is used by locals and is therefore fun and busy. Reasonable access by road, not a problem for motor homes or caravans. This is a very pleasant site within easy distance of some very good walking. The walk from St Bonnett to Orcival was a pleasant start for us in the area. Bit expensive - 18 Euros for two people, tent and car. But recommended.
