Stayed here over early May bank holiday.
Site is set in the grounds of the large house.
5/6 pitches, tons of space.
TV points on electric posts.
No showers but 24 hour access to the toilets at the small tea room.
Lane leading to the site is single track, you just hope you don't meet anyone coming the other way.
Overall superb value for money.

One of the nicest small sites in the country.
We stayed at Sweethedges for four nights. The pitches are on the edge of a beautifully manicured garden.
The owners are very friendly, and the cafe/restaurant they run in the grounds is not to be missed. It's straightforward food done very well.
Each of the pitches has its own water and electric supply, and the included TV outlet worked very well. Wifi is free and the signal was pretty good, although they were having a few dropouts due to a BT problem. Download speed seems to be capped at about 1MB, so good for browsing and email, but not really fast enough to stream TV etc.
Our son really enjoyed exploring the grounds and woods nearby.
We will be returning here for long weekends in the future.

This is a lovely site. Plenty of room between pitches. The owners are putting in new electrics and water points. Also there is a cafe on site. We looked on internet for this site and looked really nice and having the fishing near by was a plus. The lake was about 4/5 foot down that is not the owners fault but it is full of crayfish that we did not get told about before we started to fish. This problem will not get any better it will get worse. There is some carp swimming about but catching them is hard crayfish no problem. Would go to this site again but not for the fishing

Beautiful site. Unbelievable that's it's just a 5 van (no tent) site. There is so much space, it was like staying on a garden of a stately home.
Owners are friendly, serving good food in a tea shop - on site.
There is no toilet block-however we have our own facilities on board.
We were visiting Uppingham so used this for convenience but we will be back.
