If I could give this site 500 out of 10 I would. What an amazing site. Everything is so well thought of. Here goes the complete truth. Now my husband balked at the price of €52 per night and that’s out of season BUT you get what you pay for and Switzerland is expensive anyway. We stayed on other sites almost the same price and they were so bad. The views of the snow covered mountains are amazing and you get to see and hear excited squeals of all the parahliders. The skies are full of them. Between them and the beautiful birds I was mesmerized and couldn’t stop watching them.
You are met by a wonderful happy helpful lady called Heidi. She books you in and gives you every bit of information you need to visit the area. She gives you the bus/discount card, bus timetables, maps and much more. Tells you where to get the bus which is a 10 minute walk and tells you the name of the stop. She shows you where everything is on the park and how to use things. She shows you to your pitch and runs through the hook up etc. She is amazing. (I was worried I was going to be asked questions at the end of it and I would fail!)
Anyway to the site, I don't know where to start. There was not one stone on my tent pitch, the pegs went in without any blockages (how lovely is that!). The pitch and the whole site had been grass cut without any grass bits left behind (how did they do that?). The very flat pitches are different sizes according to what you need or want and are definitely not squashed together. The car parks infront of your pitch so no squishing or trying to squeeze it in. The gate to the site is shut on a night to give extra security but you still can get in.
The shower and toilet blocks are so clean you could actually eat your food off the floor. Lovely hot water and really great pressure. There’s a washer and dryer that actually works and is so clean it looks new but it isn’t. Oh and there’s a hairdryer that works. Infact nothing was broken, everything worked. Loads of separate sinks some with doors on.
There’s about 4 sinks in a lovely covered area just outside the ladies toilets for washing dishes and it has very hot water. Again, so clean. All drinking water on the site is filtered. Now for the best bit ever, just opposite the sink dish washing there’s a building that has 4 very large picnic tables and chairs, a desk to work from in the corner, a microwave, 2 big fridges, drying racks, and lots more all for us to use and my favorite item, a kettle. You don’t know just how excited I was to get that!
There was not one piece of rubbish on the site. I can’t tell you just how clean it is. There’s a sandpit for the kids and a few swings etc for them (and the adults) to play out. I did have a little play in the rain.
It was raining really bad when we were there though we got one good sunny day (until 4pm). The weather is very unpredictable and it does not match the weather channels at all. I wished I could have stayed longer but we had been in Europe 14 days and had terrible rain and thunder every day so we set off sun hunting further south only to reach our destination of cinque terre to more rain and thunder. Never mind that’s the beauty of camping eh. I definitely would recommend this site to everybody, it’s beautiful. We are going to return to the area to try again hopefully without rain next time and we will visit Heidi again.
There’s a shop on site where you can buy food and provisions.
You can pay your camp fees by cash or card but the purchase of shop items are cash only.
Heidi takes euros as well as Swiss francs. She will give you Swiss francs in change if you give her euros. She will also change euros should you need francs for the washing machine and dryer.
I hope this helps

We camped at this site for 3 nights (having travelled from France). We arrived at 5pm and checked in, Heidi (one of the owners) showed us around and told us about the free local travel and things to do, she showed us to our pitch which was as promised, providing amazing mountain views. We pitched up our tent and drank a couple of local cold beers from the small shop, very cheap and chilled, perfect.
This campsite has many bonuses, firstly Heidi is fantastic, she is very friendly and happy to help, always able to provide information of what to see and do, the facilities at the campsite are immaculate, great showers, washing up facilities, fridge/freezer etc, the views are stunning, and it's a great location if you drive or use the local free bus/trains, you can also order fresh bread for the morning from reception (collected from local bakers).
We spent one day at Trumel-bach-falle (indoor waterfalls) and another day at Schynige Platte, both recommended by Heidi and fantastic days out.
On our first night we also ate/drank at Landhotel Golf at the end of the road, it was a Sunday evening and there isn't much open, they were very accommodating.

We have stayed at camping hobby many times. The site is spotless. Has free hot water to wash up, free showers free wifi. It is a family friendly, dog friendly site. Dogs are free. The views from the site are simply stunning.
The town is maybe a 30-40 min walk from the site.
Heidi (owner) will give you a bus pass that gets you free bus trips into town.
Heidi knows the best places to walk, cycle etc.
If you like to be up late partying then this is not the site for you.
Things go quiet around 10pm.
