Very welcoming owner and relaxed campsite, great to be able to have an open fire in a fire pit.
The campsite is a short walk from the town of Findon where there are some great pubs. Good location, close to the beach.
Toilet, shower and washing up facilities are basic, but had own facilities so no issue for us.
Definitely visit again.

Really friendly site, with great views and brilliant pitches. I would say, however, that the site is definitely best suited to tourers and mobiles, as there is only the one combination shower/ toilet/ sink.
There's a washing up stand and a tank rinser, plenty of electric hook ups and a couple of water points, so it's fine in that respect, I just thought that if there had been more tents there, then the loo situation could have meant some leg crossing.
As it was, with just the couple of tents, it was fine! I also had to wait a little while to book in, as because of the direction I approached from (walking trail),
I missed the mobile number on the gate - it wasn't on the literature either, but it didn't make too much difference in the end.

A wonderful, friendly and rustic camp site at the foot of the South Downs.
Relax on down land turf and watch the local cricket club matches.
Frequent buses from the village into Worthing town and beyond.
Lovely pubs in village.

Very basic site with a small shed which had a ‘loo’ washbasin and a shower head coming from the wall in the middle, not seen anything quite like it before and didn’t use as everything would get wet and you were stood on a wooden slatted floor which didn’t look the cleanest.
Chose the site to join up our round the coast cycle as we are limited to position and there are a lot of sites closed at this time of year.
The road is very busy so if you are cycling take care.
There is a Long distance walk (The Monarch way) running through the site and can be followed to the local village, Findon, where there are pubs and a shop and lots of other routes that split off it so walking is good.
Overall we enjoyed our stayed despite the facilities however think the charges are too high at £25 p. N.

I meant to stay 2 nights but stayed 3 because it was such a lovely friendly site!
A little haven with great links to footpaths and historic Findon village, Church Hill and Cissbury Ring.
Abundant wildlife. Buzzards and Owls.
Hosts were very happy to help with everything, facilities very clean and a hot shower!
I'll definitely be back!

We went to Cedar Gables for our 42nd wedding anniversary and booked a meal up the road at The Smallholding.
We also wanted to face east to see shooting stars after midnight. The owner couldn't have been more helpful.
He saved a spot for us that gave maximum view of the sky, went and gave us blocks to avoid being on a (small) slope, and brought us a picnic table.
Then he offered and gave us a lift up to the restaurant. We felt very welcome and looked after.
The toilets and showers were immaculate, and I wish we had stayed longer. Thanks to all there.

Noisy road and only one toilet which is also the only shower so if someone's showering you have to wait to use the toilet.
Only one of us managed to get hot water in the shower and only for less than a minute, otherwise showers were cold.
There was someone using a tractor from the morning until half 6 in the evening right next to the site which was very noisy.
Appreciate it's a farming area but given the size of the tractor it looked more like a residential property.
There was also a party in the cricket club next door with people shouting outdoors close to the site.
Perhaps a good relationship with the neighbours would help with the noise issues.
Ce village a short walk away.

Beautiful surroundings, great atmosphere and well run little campsite.
Somehow we all managed with only one loo which was very well kept.
Lots to do in the area. We really enjoyed our stay.
