The site is no longer owned by Dutch family. It is Italian run and the standard perhaps not the same. We had pitch with its own bathroom incl. Shower, basin and toilet, basically a wet room.
The general lower facility block had small shower cubicles with nowhere to put dry things. Our pitch (large) was a reasonable size but up a bit of a slope. The lower unheated pool was open but the weather too cold to swim.
There are pools higher up which were closed and the facilities on that level were newer and the showers larger. Maintenance isn’t a strong point. We reported leaking washing up and laundry sinks outside our bathroom and it wasn’t fixed during our stay.
We noticed that most of the sinks outside the bathrooms on pitches leaked. The tap on the adjacent wash up was broken. You pay E5 extra per night for the bathroom and wash up area but expect them to be fully functional.
There is very little information on the website regarding access to the campsite. There are some appalling roads whcih you just shouldn't attempt.
Best route coming off the motorway at Montecatini Terme is to head for Ponte Di Serravalle then Chiesina then Nievole where you take a left turn up to Camping Belsito. This last stretch includes hair pin bends but the road is of a decent width.

We originally reserved 3 nights but stayed 5. Dutch run, with predominantly Dutch clientèle, to a very high standard as far as campsites in Italy go. Pitches are laid out on terraces in the Tuscan countryside, many having their own wet room (shower, loo and basin) as well as two sinks for washing clothes and dishes. On the same key ring is a key for a compound in which you can park your car to leave more space on your pitch.
The shop was quite well stocked. Bread was ordered the day before. The restaurant seemed popular though we only used the takeaway service for a pizza. Internet was available at our pitch for which we paid 8€ for 5 hours, but it was possible to log off and on.
The nearby hilltop town is lovely, but obviously geared up for tourists with restaurants and souvenir shops. Some visitors arrive via the funicular from Monticatini Terme below.
Had a day out visiting Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo, which took us through typical Tuscan countryside planted with olives and vines. This excursion was listed on a useful info sheet from reception.
It is clearly a popular site and I am sure you would need to book ahead for July/August. Good value with ACSI card even with paying the supplement for the private bathroom.
Took wrong turn in Monticatini Terme on arrival and departure - signage is atrocious as is the condition of some of the roads. Not for the inexperienced driver.

The site wasn’t easy to find as it’s a couple of miles above Montecatino Therme in the hills. It’s better to follow signs for Montecatino Alto on SATNAV. On the whole we liked the site even though we chose our pitch badly and ended up on a pitch along the bottom with a very narrow access lane and difficult turning space, scraping our motorhome on the overhanging trees. There were lots of olive trees around the site offering shade. The slightly higher pitches had much easier access than ours and had individual sanitary blocks. These were charged as extras to the ACSI price if you used them but the pitches were also available during our stay at standard rate without a key for the private facilities. The main toilet and shower blocks were clean but with no seats or loo paper. The showers were small with no separate dry area. The toilet/ shower block near the top of the site seems newer and to a higher standard. The site is terraced higher up and had good views on a lot of pitches. There was also a lovely dog walk up at the top of the site. There was a lovely bar restaurant on site, dog friendly and serving good food at reasonable prices. The restaurant had friendly staff and a good ambiance. It was busy both nights of our stay. The swimming pool looked lovely although we didn’t venture in. We would come back here if we were in the area.
