Stayed at the Pickwick during June just to get away and to celebrate my husband's birthday. The location and views are amazing and waking up to that view overlooking Padstow and Rock was just heaven. When we stayed it was very quiet, there was only one other caravan and one tent on site. The shower/toilet were adequate with a nice hot shower but it was very dark and could do with updating. We did not use the swimming pool although it was open. We did pop into the pub on site, it is a little dated but we only had drinks there, did not use their restaurant.
We walked to St Issey several times, and from there you could take the bus down to Padstow.

Beautiful location with amazing views. Pickwick inn staff lovely and food out of this world. Site small and shower block, although kept very clean was dark and dingy and there is no hot water at the sinks. There was also nowhere to wash up which was inconvenient. The swimming pool was not in working order which was a shame. The only real negative I have and it's not really the sites fault although you would think as neighbours, they would complain, was a continuous barking dog at the house next to the site. When I say continuous, I mean continuous to a point where it drove you mad and spoilt the serenity of the surroundings.

Looked forward to our visit but very disappointed ! Very narrow to get to in places. Nice view as expected in Cornwall but it's just a field with a old dated loo block and very cold and well overpriced at £20 a night, I've stayed at some good sites with excellent facilities for less than £15.
Had a meal in the pub, wasn't great, steak over cooked, tasteless and pricey, don't get me wrong I'm happy to pay £20 plus for a good steak, sadly this was not it, partner not over pleased with there meal either, think it was frozen.
If your going to changer £20 a night I think they need to make it look like less of a field and update facilities or lower the the price !
