Booking system doesn’t work for payments, they ask on Facebook to pay cash? Informed there are no refunds if you pay for electricity on a card either? Are we not now in a cashless society??
Arrived to what can only be described as a building site and work in progress. Bins were overflowing and hadn’t been emptied for days with bags of rubbish piled around them. Area to fill up motorhome with water is another health and safety issue with uneven and broken slabbing and very poor fencing.
Website isn’t a true reflection of the pitches for large motor homes either.
Great site if you want to be in the middle of a field next to a busy road with a children’s play area. No photos of that on the website either.
All hardstanding pitches appear to be taken for seasonal use. Asked for a refund because of these issues and refused after five minutes of taking the payment!
Another review had stated there was very little emphasis on customer service and I would agree after our experience. Should have known better, asking customers to pay cash, the website being very poor in its grammar, building work in progress, no barriers for safety, needs updating in certain areas etc.
Should have left after seeing the work in progress as first impressions do count. Only went because of good reviews for fishing, which may be the case, but can’t comment as we didn’t stay.
In our opinion and if you have basic standards check out the site BEFORE you stay and don’t make payment till you are happy with the site as there is no mention of any building works on the website as it’s a work in progress site.

Stopped off at Bluebell to do a bit of fishing on the way back from a Shropshire road trip.
Fished the specimen lake with great results of regular mid sized carp of all varieties including Koi and Ghosts.
Owner is a wonderful host who makes all feel welcome.
Aim to go back
