A lovely site in the heart of the country, but not far at all from the West Midlands conurbation. The river Blythe next to the site is a bonus, and is deep enough in parts for dog and human swimming.
The owners are very friendly and were looking out for us when we arrived. It's still only £12 per nigght, a bargain.
The single track road is really not a problem and was quiet except for the Saturday afternoon when the locals seem to race each other along it.
There are some nice walks by the Trent and on Cannock Chase, and do go to the National Memorial Arboretum.
When leaving, if going north, do not attemt to go via Yoxall, the roads are far too narrow. Go back the way you came to get to the A51 or A38.
We didn't use the facilities, but they looked fine.

Just returned from this lovely caravan site
The owners are brilliant. My wife was taking part in a craft fair in Lichfield hence our visit here. When I told the owners this they said we could arrive on the Friday whenever we wanted which was great for us. Mind you the site was quiet so you might not get this option in the height of the season!
As it's a Caravan Club CL read the instructions on how to get to site. DO NOT think about going any other route, the other lanes to it are narrow in places and long. The actual route to the caravan site, although down lanes, is about 1 3/4 miles but there are passing places and the verges are low so nearside on grass is not a problem.
The site itself is great. Level grass with some hard standing areas for winter stays near too entrances. There is a river bordering the site so children should take care. It's not deep but it's still a hazard. As we have not got children I can't comment on child facilities but with wide open areas there's room to play.
Toilet facilities are basic - one male, one female /disabled and wet room shower. 50p for 4 mins, all kept very clean and a blow heater to take the chill off!
All in all this site is ace and £11 pound a night with hook up great value.

Well what can I say? This is a wee gem. I would love to keep it to myself but it really is a lovely site.
We travelled from West Lothian down to Blythe House Farm C/L having picked it from the Caravan Club book by purely seeking out the location/area we were visiting and looking for electric hook up, a shower and dogs allowed. We were delighted to have picked this wonderful site.
We followed the directions in the CC book and found the site easily. I had given an approximate time of arrival when booking and we were chearfully greeted by Mrs Astley. She directed us to the field and we were given free choice as to how and where we would like to pitch. We were also told if we needed an extension for our hook up just to ask.
The field is divided into 2 with the entry a gravel hard standing and a virtually level grassy area behind. High hedges surround 2 sides which cut car noise down. (not that there is very much of it on the narrow lane)Field looks out over a wild flower meadow and open farmland. On the right of the entry into the field there is a small unfenced pond which was a real wildlife oasis. Breeding moor hens (2 little chicks), Heron and abundant birds and insects.
There were many nest boxes sited all around site and a mown walkway leads you through the meadow and meanders along the stream to the Rally field which is at the other end of the farm. Most of the Farm buildings have been converted into small industrial units housing mechanics, micro brewery and artist to name a few. They don't impact more than the occasional noise and didn't affect our holiday at all.
There is a small 1 female, 1 male toilet and disabled accessible shower room attached to one of the barns. It was always kept clean and was functional although not very glamourous. There is also a chemical disposal point which we were shown on arrival.
At £11 a night and 50p for 4 min shower it was amazing value for money. We hope to visit again!

We love this CL. It's set in a peaceful rural part of south Staffs but lots of nice places nearby to visit. Access is a bit hairy as the roads are narrow, bendy and full of tractors! but if you want peace and quiet that's the price you pay. Speaking of prices we paid only £11 per night - bargain. The CL field overlooks a wildflower meadow with a shallow, clear river just beyond. Walk past the rally field and you'll find a spot where you can even paddle in the river. The grass along the riverbank has been cut short to create a sort of dog walk/nature walk which is delightful. There are nesting boxes on some of the trees and overall you get the impression that the owner cares about the local wildlife. A short walk across the farmyard (no farm animals anymore) past some industrial units and you reach the toilets and shower which are very clean. The whole place is very well-kept and it's just a short stroll to the little village of Hamstall Ridware which has a great pub (the Shoulder of Mutton) that does meal deals - 3 courses for under a tenner, and the food's lovely. The CL owner is very nice too. All in all, a great little CL and we will definitely be back.

We stayed for a weekend very nice place. Lots of room. Very clean quiet. Our dogs loved the walks. The owner is very friendly. Will definitely stay here again 5 stars. There is a pub close by. Ans aldi is not far away. Will tell our friends and family about this little gem. Pity the weather was not as good as it could have been. But did not put us off. The toilets are very clean.
