Great spot. Not too far to walk into Navarette and pick up a section of the Camino de Santiago.
We stayed and only a 2.5 hour drive to the ferry.
Toilet block looked new, very posh.
Facilities such as pool shut due to time of year.
On site bar open.
Helpful at reception and they printed some bus timetables for us.

Picture a state of the art sanitaire block with piping hot water, set in a static caravan graveyard of moulding, dirty units parked cheek by jowl. Beside this is a rutted area for the touring caravans. Welcome to Camping Navarrete.
As a stopover it is convenient for the motorways and fine if you need a shower and want to buy some cheap rioja from the neighbouring bodega.
The site wide free wifi actually only works for about 10 feet from reception.
Not on our 'must return to' list

A super 3 day stopover en-route south.
The site is well positioned for access to main routes (e. G. AP68).
The staff here work hard to provide good facilities, and we found things just as reported in the previous review.
17 euros per night on ACSI is good value. The showers were great.
Do take some time to visit Navarette, super little place, on the Route of St James. Fine tapas in the church square, and a visit to the Don Jacobo Bodega is a must - but you must pre-book!
Enjoy :-)

Used as a stop-over for three nights on our way northwards for south-west France, partly down to our interest in wines including Rioja.
Pitching area was on grass in rows and seemed to be used by short stay campers using Santander and Bilbao to or from the Costas. Most of the site, however, is in use for long-stay tourer pitches some of which were rather untidy. At the time of our stay most were not occupied, but at the busy times I would imagine that the toilet/shower block would be stretched. No problem during our stay and it was always spotlessly clean.
Based on rating on Trip Advisor, we did the Bai Gorri wine experience which at €40 per person for a guided tour of the state-of-the-art winery, fabulous four-course lunch with accompanying wines, was excellent and well recommended. Highlight of our few days in the region, but would like to explore further some time.
Some facilities were not operational at the site during our stay, but that did not affect us. Free wifi hotspot near reception was good. Used ACSI and paid €16 per night.
