Please note we have been advised that this site has closed, and no longer offers camping, motorhome or caravanning pitches. If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks
Just stayed here for 10 nights with our touring caravan. Our friends too stayed for the same amount of nights in their tourer as well.
The post code given EX379HP takes you to the road, not to the exact site. So if you are going to this site. The campsite is on that main road- so don't be fooled into turning off it. But saying that it is easy to find.
Reasonable sized field for 5 vans. The pitches are slightly sloped - so if your a perfectionist. You will need to level- as we did with blocks. She does provide some wooden off cuts to help with this.
The weather when we visited was quite poor - so obviously being on grass could be unpleasant for some. But didn't really bother us. The wind was quite bad because it is on high ground - but then again with better weather this wouldn't be as much of an issue.
The fresh water point and toilet points are clearly labelled. The only issue is that there is only 1 bin provided (which is emptied by the owner ) I can imagine if there was 5 vans on site at any one time. This could be an issue. But there was only us on there - so wasn't as such a problem at the time.
Basic site. At £12/night with good amp hook up.
The only criticism I can make during our visit it that the grass was longer than we would have liked.
When we turned up - it was said that it was cut 2 weeks ago. So with 10 days ontop of 14 days. Dog poo picking was a little tricky.
Owner lovely. Very friendly. We were left to our own devices. Nice and quite. I would recommend this site if you are wanting a small basic site.
Nearest petrol station is about 5/6 minutes away.
Asda is around 6/7 miles away- although there are smaller shops nearby.
Hope this review helps with being the first one.
