 Just returned from this excellent site in the Netherlands.
Quite a big site with a lot of seasonal pitches and also holidays bungalows and some safari tents to rent.
We had our tent with us and decided to camp on the outside of the dyke. On the outside we had a beach and the lake about 20 yards from our tent so the kids loved running into there every morning.
The swimming pool was basic and to be honest the kids preferred playing in the lake as they could fish for the tiddlers, chase duck and just build sandcastles. There was a kids entertainment group but we never went to that.
The amenities were good, as we were on the outside of the dyke (in reality just a footpath running along the lake) we needed a special key to get in the toilet block that was immaculate and plenty of hot water etc.
I think we were the only British campers there and in our row were the only tents, most of the other pitches were taken up by seasonal pitches. Very friendly site and handily placed for discovering the area (Flevoland does not have a lot going on but it is a relatively new area) and trips to Amsterdam and other big towns and cities was really easy.
The only downsides are the noise from the main road (A28) that is on the other side of the lake, it wasn't horrendous but you could hear it at night and felt like we were camped right next to it. Oddly, on the inside of the dyke you could not hear the road at all and there is not additional shelter, very odd!
There are a number of toilet blocks on site as well as a shop/mini market, cafe, restaurant and snack bar. They have tennis courts, volleyball, boules, beach soccer and an outdoor baby splash pool.
It's a good holiday village and utterly huge, the dyke/path running through the site gives easy access to the nearby village/town Zeewolde for fresh morning baking and all your essential groceries etc.
Would recommend this place for a quit family trip and taking your bikes is a must.
