An enormous site, think Center Parcs but with camping. Our pitch was on the outer edge of the site, nestled amongst the pine trees. We had stacks of space to pitch the tent, as well as room for our table & chairs. Cars are not allowed onto the camping areas (apart for pitch up & pack down), so we parked just off the field in a parking bay.
The staff were all very hard-working & polite, and really couldn’t do enough to help. Even so far as freezing our ice packs is in the restaurant kitchen whilst we went bowling!
We always felt safe here, the speed limit is 5km p/h on site, so the kids could go round on bikes & scooters with nothing to fear. There were kids play parks scattered all around the site, as well as an excellent outdoor pool, large playing field, and several “Go Ape” style assault courses. Though we didn’t get around to that as we wanted to get off site & explore the local area. We did hire bikes from reception one morning, and at €22 for 5 bikes (2 adults, 3 kids) for 3 hours we thought it excellent value.
The toilets, showers & washing up facilities were immaculate at all times, and always in plentiful supply. Only downside is the showers are on a 4 minute timer, so never quite long enough to shower myself & my son.
Beware, there is only one bin area & its next to reception. So if you’re pitched on the outer edge, be prepared for a long walk with your rubbish! Recycling is mandatory here, and there are cameras installed in the bin area to make sure people are sorting their rubbish accordingly. Even though all the signs were in Dutch, they were easy enough to figure out the translations,
In the local area, we visited the Pyramid at Austerlitz, which took around 35 minutes to cycle to. It has a lovely traditional theme park feel to it, with a large kids play area, and an on site restaurant.
We also visited the Military museum, which was around 20 minute drive away. I think it’s only open on certain days so best to check in advance, but if you buy your tickets through the campsite reception you get quite a good discount. We spent a full day here, and it was fantastic to learn about the Dutch military. It’s very interactive, and both adults & kids get a lot out of it.
We also went to Amsterdam for a day. We drove to a park & ride station, then got the train into the city. All for a very modest sum. If you need help with this, ask at reception as it can seem quite complicated when trying to figure out the park & ride. Whilst in Amsterdam we visited Anne Frank’s House. Make sure you book your tickets well in advance as there are no on the day tickets available.
All in all, a fantastic campsite with plenty to do both on & off site. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic site. Has the feeling of a UK Center Parcs but at a fraction of the price !
Onsite restaurant food was absolutely amazing quality and standard 10/10. Next door to the restaurant is a snack bar which is open slightly later selling pizzas and ice cream etc, this was equally great quality and regularly busy.
The outdoor swimming pool was great for both older and younger children my 3 & 6yr olds loved it.
Throughout the park/site there were numerous play parks to entertain the kids.
Staff were excellent at reception and throughout the site.
We cycled to the local train station which took us about 30 mins and the train took us into Utrecht which was the most beautiful city.
Cant fault this site and we will definitely be going back at some point in the near future.
