 We called in for a meal and stayed for the night in the carpark. This review is to help others who might consider stopping.

The carpark is large and we parked alongside the back hedge. The Ash Tree is on the A162 so there was some road noise during the evening. All was quiet until about 3am when occasional lorries started to pass.

The food is home cooked and price (£8 -£12) but they do smaller portions at reduced price which were adequate for us. They also offer a take-away service. Speciality is fish and chips

There is no outside tap and the toilets are only available during opening hours. There is no hook-up.

 Thank you for another great stop over at the Ashtree inn.

The staff are extremely friendly and they have a great varied menu. They even have a take away menu too. They do the best big fat home made chips I've ever tasted!

Very convenient stopoever for a visit to York.

A very pleasant stop.
