We stayed in one of the 2 no bungalows on site. Bit dusty on arrival but think we were first of season so was to be expected really.

Campsite is a bit rough around the edges but that's a plus for me. Stunning setting and back drop with its own lake and kayaks which are free to use.

Very friendly owners who were always helpful if needed. Small snack bar which sometimes had some low key entertainment.

Not a huge amount of Brits on site which looks as though its a go to for the dutch, no issues though and all friendly.

Kids loved it here and we could have stayed forever.

Tent pitches are hard ground for those interested spread around a small area.

We stayed for a 5 nights at Du Brec, and I disagree with the previous comment. The site wasn't untidy and overgrown when we were there in August. Yes, there were no dogs on the lake side which was a good thing.

There were two sanitary blocks on site (not one as the previous person noted) and we never had to queue, even with the site almost full on the first couple of days. A lack of toilet seats seems to be a common theme on French campsites from our experience!

The owners were super-helpful and very friendly, sorting out our booking and adjusting it when we were late arriving. The lake was wonderful and our 2 children spent hours using the free kyaks or just swimming. After a hot day visiting local towns or sights, coming back for a cold dip was lovely.

The pitches did vary in size, but we chose a smaller one but more shaded which we felt was a good choice.

Entrevaux is a 20min walk away and a lovely way to spend part of a day. We did a day trip to Nice which is an hour each way (thanks for the top tip on parking at reception!).

Be warned, if you are coming from UK and travelling down, once you get off the autoroute the road gets pretty windy across the mountains!

We will be going back though!

Lovely position amongst the most breath taking scenery ever seen. Pitches are of an average size and we were allocated a pitch before arrival and were told that if we didn't like it we were welcome to choose another.

Toilet/shower facilities were basic (no toilet seats) and not enough for the size of the site. Only 3 toilets and 3 showers and they were clean.

The site was ideal for families, with a small lake with free use of kayaks and canoes.

Beach area pebbly. Unfortunately no dogs on the beach area so we had to drive about 30km to a beautiful lake where dogs were allowed. No exercise area for dogs and no poo bins on site.

Mainly Dutch campers with some French. Had a bar with snacks available in peak season only and bar closes at 20. 00hrs! Bread and croissants could be ordered for following morning.

Site was generally untidy and overgrown.

Would not go to this site again, Think we were spoilt with last years site!
