 Have returned from a 2 week stay at this site. 3 tents with various family comprising of 6 adults and 2 kids. Have to agree with previous comments, this site is a gem. The lake is clean and the beach perfect for all ages. We did see some English during our stay and the kids did play with 2 different sets of English children during the stay. The y did have some animation activities for the kids like land art or making your own slime (lovely) so our 8 year old loved it. Loads to see in the area; the 11 waterfalls at Herrison were great, but would suggest sensible footwear as it can be steep and slippy - that said I managed it in croc's! AS said before Orgalet has a Super U, but we didn't use it much, preferring to travel to the Aldi in Clairvaux-les-Lacs or occasionally the Lidl in Lons-le-Saunier if we were passing. The Lake at Clairvaux-les-Lacs has a larger beach area and a diving platform for the brave. Only 6hrs from the Tunnel is easily done in a day. Cant wait to book up again as having spent the last 5 years camping in France, this site is the first we want to return back to. If anybody is visiting early Aug 2018, we will be there.

An absolute gem that doesn't appear to have been discovered by many UK campers. We spent 17 nights on this site which has it's own beach access to La Lac de Vouglans. Saw only 1 other UK plate during our time here. The site is set in a stunning location and has only 180 pitches including mobile homes and chalets which account for around half the availability. The lake offers all the watersports you can think of and the marina is next door.
The site has a basics only shop, takeaway food and a bar. There is some night entertainment. There are 2 restaurants on site, about 100 yards from reception.
All facilities were kept clean. The toilets/showers etc are unisex, the only downside being no toilet seats or paper. Not really a problem. Plenty of hot water when needed.
4 miles away, there is a decent sized Super you at Orgelet and plenty to see and do in the area. A must-see is the village of Baume-les-Messieurs in it's awesome location at the bottom of a valley.
