We (2 adults, 2 children under 6 and a dog) arrived on the windiest day (week) of the year and struggled to pitch our tent.
We were at the point of packing up and driving home when the owner said we could use the static van on the field (it has an additional communal toilet and shower for the site) - we would just have to be mindful of the other users coming to shower and wash up. Luckily for us the site was not busy.
After Monday to Wednesday of wind weather warnings we stayed in the van.
Extremely friendly and welcoming, facilities are spotless with lovely views.
The owner notified us of a local play area for the children, a good dog walking spot on the beach and a local pub (not amazing on the eye, but the food and beer was ridiculously cheap and to an exceptional high quality).
Couldn't wish for better 'hosts' 100% will return in better conditions.

The campsite is tranquil and very clean
The owners made you feel one of the family
I will return to this site asap in 2022
Can’t rate this little site high enough
You're in the middle of nowhere but close enough to everywhere
And a great little pub exactly 1 mile away which is inexpensive and very good food
If you want peace and quiet go to this campsite

Lovely relaxed small campsite. Family was so friendly and helpful. Site well maintained, hardstanding for caravan. The sunset at night was amazing.
Static caravan holds the shower)toilet facilities. The children and dog who own the site were amazing and really made the stay for us.
Everyone was so helpful. I can't review it higher, brilliant family run site. Thank you

Beautiful location - isolated with great views of the Preseli Hills, especially on a sunny morning!
Very welcoming, friendly, family-run campsite. Lovely, quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
Good washing up/toilet facilities.
Within driving distance of Preseli Hills which are excellent for hiking with wonderful views of the Pembrokeshire coast.
I stayed at Maengwyn Hir on a very cold, stormy night intending to use my tent - however the owners let me stay in the static caravan which was very kind and extremely welcome. Would recommend the site to anyone. Thank you for my stay! :)

On arriving we had a fantastic welcome. Everything was organised and ready.
Facilities all available and working. Slept like a baby.
Friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Pamphlets and map of the local area available.
Very welcoming and helpful.
We only used it as a base for a short visit and it was perfect.
Great location as a base for walks
or a short drive to. The coast or Brecon Beacons.
