Beautiful place. We’d just been released from lockdown and I felt very safe. Loads of room between pitches.
Lots of room for a 3 year old to run around in without him being close to anyone else. Reception wasn’t far and social distancing was easy to stick to. Waste disposal and water were fine.
We used our own facilities so never used the sites. Plenty of buns for rubbish. We had a very relaxing couple of days.
Tried to book when we came out of lockdown this year & was very disappointed as they were fully booked.
But will definitely be back.

Sorry to say that this is not the best CS we have stayed at; it could be so much better with little money spent.
The directions are not great, all you have to do from J27 of the M1 is to take the A 608 and then the A611, just after the split lanes reunite, take the first turn left and then right into the farm lane after a couple of hundred yards.
Then the fun begins - the lane is very potholed and rutted, is about 1/4 mile long with no passing places. You arrive at the site (as you think), look ahead, see caravans, the gate was open so in we go, to the storage area; somebody locked the gate behind us. We had to go to the farm to be let out. Nobody asked our name and seemed incredulous that we had ended up in the storage. Why not a sign?
The site is off to the right before here, once there was a sign, long ago broken off and practically unreadable. The site itself is not too bad, large, surrounded by trees but the way in/out is very muddy. Hardcore is being laid which will help. Anyone who knows where to go could just drive in unchallenged.
There doesn't appear to be a CWD, this is hidden in the woods between the site and the storage, a weird, disgusting old contraption that OH says could be dangerous to exploring children; they could fall in.
All that can really be said in its favour is that it's large and would be good for children to let off steam, and my enquiry email was answered promptly. Location is good for a stopover near the M1. 11 pounds per night I suppose is par for the course, but too expensive for what is on offer.
There is a garage on the A611 near Hucknall, I assume there are also shops near here.

What a dump, avoid at all costs!
We picked up our new mobile home and went here on our 'maiden voyage'. We were told by the owners that the site was a little muddy and that as they weren't going to be in when we were due to arrive to go to one of the pitches to the left of the field or that they did have a hard standing we could use - fair enough- however when we arrived we realised that the statement 'a little muddy' was a massive understatement - it was like the Somme! We got stuck so badly that we had to ask one of the campers with a 4x4 to tow us out, thank goodness he was there. After managing to get out of the mud we felt like just driving off but as it was getting late we had no choice but to look for the hard standing pitch which we eventually found but it was disgusting, we even had the delight of what seemed like human excrement in front of the pitch - lovely! The bins were overflowing with rubbish including at least 6 black bin liners left by the side of them, yuk. How on earth this is a certified CC club I don't know!
