Very friendly site with 2 areas for outfits but you may need a (very) long hook up lead, the far field is large with unmarked pitches great if camping with a group as you pick your own pitch. There is an excellent toilet/ shower block with laundry facilities. Also on site is a large swimming lake with beach area with a slide into the water and a trampoline for the kids, this is near the front field which is a tree lined area also unmarked pitches. When we were there there was only a toilet in this area at the rear of the bar /restaurant but we understand a new shower/toilet block was to be built over winter.

There is a children's playground in the far field basic but enough to keep the little ones happy. We were there in august then later in September and the site was never crowded.

At the entrance to site is a caravan/camper dealership with workshop and accessories store with VERY helpful and friendly staff (same owners as the site)we had an accident with our awning in a storm and the owner was helpful beyond belief liaising with our insurance and organising a new awning the following day. The on site restaurant is basic but the food is good and not overpriced great after a long drive.

There are static caravans on site some of them appear to be residential and this was a little off putting at first but all our fears were put to rest after a couple of days as most people were friendly stopping to chat and offer advise etc their children and ours were soon best friends using the FREE hire bikes and canoes and playing all day till supper time

The site is located apx 1 mile from motorway and about 4 miles from centre of augsburg

we stayed for 11 days on our way to italy then again for 1 night on the way home,

there was no problems with our caravan an 8 metre long twin axle we turned up without a booking after being turned away from bella augsburg (despite having a written conformation of our booking) and was made very welcome. I cannot recommend this site enough and will use it again for a stopover or longer
