Hidden gem as very peaceful.
Has 3 toilets with sinks in them and a washing up unit with just cold water but we have hot water in our van. Owners are lovely.
Lovely views and short ride to join the Tissington trail.
Will be back to ride other part of trail and do local walks

My favourite campsite ever. We like small campsites and this is perfect.
Toilets available which is good as we have everything else we need in our campervan.
We pitched in the top field. Wow, what a view!

Still same beautiful site. But now has 3 toilets & washing room for pots etc. In new block.
You will find this site to be very peaceful. As nearly everybody who comes onto the site says the same. We along with quite a few others come many, many times

A hidden gem of a site.
Facilities are slightly lacking, only one toilet in a shed, (yes really!), did not see a play area for children, but I was on my own, so wasn't looking too hard.
A small site, not easy to find, as it's down an unmade road, behind another campsite -
(Directions - from the A515, signposted Biggin, go under the Tissington trail bridge, then turn left into Drury Lane. About opposite the third or fourth house, is a dirt track, signposted Porridge Lane - follow that, and it will take you to the campsite).
Never got to try the local pub, but the Tissington Trail is superb. Downhill to Ashbourne, which means uphill back, but gently graded. Recommend bringing your bikes.
If you want a site that has the facilities, then this ain't for you! It's a quiet, friendly site, which suited me down to the ground.
No Vodafone signal, weak O2 signal.

This is a lovely secluded site with views over the open countryside.
Toilet and electric hookups but no shower block, however, as we used our own shower this is not a problem.
Walks direct from the site. Tissington cycle trail 10 minutes away and Hartington village around two miles away for provisions, local pubs and cafes etc.
Local river walks through Biggin Dale, Wolfscote Dale onto Milldale
And Dovedale.
Waterloo pub in Biggin (5minutes from site) for drinks and dining
Out.
A bus stop near site to both Ashbourne and Buxton.
Have had many enjoyable stays at Porridge Lane and am never disappointed.

This site is excellent. Bill & Rita the site owners. Are both very friendly & helpful. I go every year. Beautiful views of the Peak District.
Great pub in the village. Just 10 minutes walk.
Also 10 minutes to Tissington trail for cycling or walking. Loads of other walks directly from campsite. Lovely village of Hartington just 5 minutes drive for provisions.
All grass with electric hook up for 12.
No showers, but I use my own anyway in caravan.
1 toilet.
The unmade road leading to it, can be rough. But on entering the site. My initial thought was wow. How beautiful. Still do, after going approximately 20 times
Not the easiest of places to find. Turn left at the Church. Halfway up road on left.
