Camped here in early June 2016. The place was very quite. The owner was extremely friendly and very helpful. We had a very nice pitch with french neighbours on one side and a German couple on the other. Both couples were very impressed with our cooking. The site facilities were very clean with plenty of hot water. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St Cado. The one mistake we made is not staying longer.

Just turned up here on chance and managed to blag the last pitch. The site is in a fantastic spot with nice walks / cafes nearby, beware though it's very popular with the French caravaners.
The owner has good English and really couldn't do enough for us, we liked it so much we stayed three days longer than we intended to.

We turned up unannounced in early August and got the last available pitch - so you can see it's a popular place. That's because of its location, so close to the waterside and such a short step from the village. The other visitors were all French - it's not a camp site on the radar of British visitors.
It's an unsophisticated two star campsite, basically a series of grassy fields with caravans and tents up and down each field, with roadways (some tarmac, some grass) down the middle. Static caravans are across the top of each field but they are separate from the camping areas.
The toilets and showers weren't luxurious, but perfectly acceptable. The electricity was claimed to be 3 amp. - in locked boxes. We tripped it twice without much difficulty, and the site owner/manager had to fetched to come to re set it.
It's a pretty spot, beside an attractive village and the inland lagoon, with a small beach suitable for little children close by. But older children might be disappointed as they will want a real beach beside the real sea, and there's no swimming pool at the site.
We would call again for a few days if we were passing, perhaps not in the peak summer season as the site was too full for our taste - at that time of year we would choose less busy campsites a few miles inland, and drive to the coast and the historic towns from there. But I can see that couples with toddlers would like it here, and pensioners looking for an attractive location, or bird watchers, or those who wish to canoe or sail a dinghy on the lagoon - but in June, not in August.
