 A small campsite taking around 20 tents/small motorhomes and the odd caravan, set in an orchard next to the owners house. The facilities are basic but clean; 4 loos, and showers and a washing up area, not all located in the same building but scattered around the site in several out-buildings.
There are electricity hook-ups, but you may need a very long cable. There is also a communal fridge and covered table area for the more minimalist campers to use. The water was occasionally hot and occasionally not.
We arrived at the time of the worst floods Solvenia had ever experienced and so understandably the ground and access tracks were incredibly muddy. I would advise selecting your pitch carefully and avoiding the lower ground, it's a pick your own spot sort of campsite, and we moved halfway through our stay out of the quagmire we'd found ourselves in.
The village of Brezije is really pretty, and surrounds a large church famous for pilgrims to visit. Its bells toll loudly at frequent intervals.
Brezije has a great little shop that sells everything you could need, a cash machine a bar and a few souvenir shops. The site is a couple of minutes from the motorway from which the noise was noticable. However it is ideally located away from the crowds of Bled and its central location is a great base for exploring Slovenia.
For a simple site the prices seem on the expensive side, but once children reach 14 years you pay adult price for them which bumps up the cost for families with teenagers considerably. Payment is with cash only.
