 Just returned from a whistle-stop tour of Europe, 2 weeks, 7 countries, 3000 miles. Never one to write reviews myself but as I relied on this website so much and found it so helpful, I felt there were a couple of sites that really warranted the effort to write something down.
Of all the campsites visited, this was my favourite by a long way. Touring on a motorcycle, this was in the perfect location, there were some great roads in the area to ride. You could also hire a crosser and a guide for the day to do some real off roading. If riding isn't your thing, perhaps a helicopter tour of the area would be more your style, all offered on site.
Facilities great, pool was large and looked great, couldn't tell you home warm it was though as I didn't go in. The highlight was the food. The 3 course meal was superb quality and very good value for money.
Grassy pitches, only separated by a few trees but large enough and shaded. There were a few ants on the tent in the morning but nothing a quick shake didn't sort out.
Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. On the whole, a great site with a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.
Would definitely return here again and would actually like to stay for longer. I never booked anywhere in advance because I wanted to leave my options opened, just emailed sites the day before using this website which worked well but it was over 90% full I think so you may need to book in advance if you wanted to stay for a prolonged period I imagine.
This site carries my strongest recommendation from this years entire camping trip. There was only one other campsite that came a very close second but it was motorbikes only.
If you are looking for a relaxing location, with beautiful surroundings, the possibility of mountain walks, perhaps a little cycling/motorcycling, good food, a swimming pool, and excellent facilities in the Spanish Pyrenees, look no further.
