We chose this site on the strength of the previous review for an overnight before the ferry back from Calais, and are very pleased that we did.
Although a small site with only a limited number of pitches for short-stay customers, it is beautifully kept with well-mown grass and lots of flowers, with the large pitches (all with 6 amp electric and a water tap) divided by trimmed hedges with occasional trees.
We received a very friendly welcome from the lady owner (?) who gave us the choice of 2 huge pitches and showed us where the electric point was (hidden in the hedge!). Although not permanently on site, there is a phone number and a map showing where she lives, just along the road, in case you need to contact her. It cost us 16 euros for 2 adults, electricity and a dog.
The site was very quiet day and night, in countryside on the edge of a small town with the usual selection of small shops and a Lidl supermarket. There is another Lidl and a SuperU with fuel under 3 miles away at Grand Fort-Philippe.
It was an easy 12 mile drive to the ferry terminal at Calais and we would definitely stay here again - it was so calm and relaxed and suited us much better than the bigger, busier sites like Bien Assise or Gandspette.

This is one of those dilemmas: do I review it and risk not being able to get a pitch next time, or not.
I booked our first night here as we were using Dunkerque for the first time and I wanted a site close to the port as our ferry wasn't going to get in till late.
When we turned up a really helpful lady met us and said she would ring the patron. She then took me proudly round all the facilities while we waited for him to arrive.
The site is small but very pleasant. Its really easy to get to and less than 30 minutes from the port.
Our pitch was big enough for our van and two tents, plus our volvo. It had its own water and electric point.
The loos are really clean and well looked after, (they don't have loo roll) and the showers need coins, not tokens: 10, 20, 50 cents or 1 euro buys you a fairly decent shower.
There is a great farm track to walk your dog just down the road from the site. There is a bit of road noise but not much.
When we left the next morning the A16 was dead easy to get to. And all for just 21 euros for the 4 of us (all adults) and the dog!
I decided to book for our last night as well, before our early ferry, and we arrived back early so that we could spend our last afternoon on the beach. I had intended to go to Sangatte, but after a chat with someone who I assume was the patron's wife, we went to one that is just 2km away - and what a stunning beach it was. There was a controlled area, but outside that we were able to play with our dog in the sea and on the sand. A lovely sandy beach with a very shallow sea, where you can watch the DFDS ferries sailing back and forth.
There is a Lidl in Oye-Plage and a Super-U just down the road.
I would definitely go back if I was using Dunkerque again.
