Please note we have been advised that the campsite at this location is now permanently closed, and no longer offers camping, motorhome or caravanning pitches. It's purely a Lodge site now.
If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

We have since found out that new owners have taken over the site. After detective work finally got hold of them to make a booking.
After 2 mobile attempts told to ring landline and an infant answered the phone, Mum continued but felt she was indifferent about a booking.
The charge was £25 per night but no use of the lovely toilet/shower facilities the previous owners had built, we thought this was greatly overpriced, so booked elsewhere. Shame.

2 years later, it's still only £15! This is our little gem in the Weald of Kent. Great for cycling, walking, gorgeous houses & villages and a pub a short walk away. If you are interested in aviation, Headcorn Aerodrome is 2 miles away offering an entertaining day out with private and wartime aircraft coming and going, a jam packed museum and not forgetting the sky jumpers all day. Wallabies are cute and good to watch. If you don't feel like cooking, the owners offer home made frozen pies, puddings & cakes and any fresh produce picked that day subject to avail. Headcorn village 2 miles the other way offers everything you need, even a Sainsburys! We'll be back!

We were looking for a one night stay in the Weald, as we were visiting the area over Easter. Braid Farm had a place for us. Good Value, just £15 with hook up. Water, waste & chemical waste points. Two pubs within walking distance. Lovely rural flat field, plenty of space. Could hear the birds all around. Resident Wallabies, complete with Joey's provided a cute distraction. Unfortunately our motorhome sank into the clay overnight, and it proved impossible to drive off. The owner kindly offered to tow us off with his 4 x 4, but we needed a bit more might, and with 6 fellow campers we managed to escape. Many thanks to all, reminds us why we both prefer camping - the camaraderie!

This is a site for campers who don't mind a bit of extra work. There are no showers/toilets but plenty of fresh water and a chemical toilet disposal point which is easily accessible and clean. Also rubbish and recycling bins. And they have pet Wallabies that love you to feed them your peelings and old bread. So cute! There are electricity hook ups and can be used for tents too. There is no restriction to the size of tent and no added charges for extra pup tents etc. Dogs are welcome. There are no hard standings. The owners are very helpful ad friendly and Anne makes lovely home cooked pies etc from their own produce that you can buy. A lovely rural location but does have a road near by, also a lion and tiger sanctuary and an aerodrome and railway all very close, so you do hear the odd roar/car/planes and trains. But I found it didn't effect me at all. Just added to the interest. Also there are fishing lakes you can use for a small fee. There are plenty of walks and an excellent pub very close.
I give this site 10/10 as I love the feeling of good old fashioned camping, lovely site, excellent owners.
A tent site is £15 a day including electric and no size restriction.
