A very neat and well run CL. The owner met us at the gate and gave us the security code for the gate. T
He grass had been well maintained. It had been very wet and one campervan left wheel spin marks in the grass when he left. However we had no problem at all.
There were 5 small hard standings with EHU. Good dog walks in the woods behind the site and many routes across Bradgate Park which was opposite.
The purpose of our stay was to visit the Great Central Railway. Ideal for steam enthusiasts.
The owner was always most helpful.

We stayed at this CL this week, the owner emailed us very useful information prior to our visit & was very helpful & friendly when we arrived. We had the only available pitch in the corner which was a little tight for the motorhome but when another pitch became vacant the next day, we contacted the owner who was happy for us to move if we wanted to. The CL could not be in a better position to visit Bradgate Park which is great for walking/cycling etc. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the dogs & seeing the deer roaming free in the park. We did have a very disturbed night when some idiots decided to congregate on the park's car park (almost opposite the CL) revving their engines & playing loud music until 2am, this was not of cause the CL owner's fault. There is quite a bit of road noise, but that is to be expected as the site is just off quite a busy main road, that being said, we had a very enjoyable couple of days here & would not hesitate to return. Although the site does not have a toilet block, there are clean toilet facilities in the Bradgate Park car park just opposite the site which make this site an even better choice for anyone wishing to visit the park.

We've just returned from a lovely 3 night stay. At this site. Road noise first thing in the morning but much less in the afternoon and very quiet in the evening. Tim the owner is very welcoming, helpful and would no doubt go out of his way if you needed any assistance. He visited in the morning with freshly laid eggs which was a lovely touch. Perfect location for Bradgate Park walks and would highly recommend the Griffin Inn which was 30 mins walk away in Swithland. The nearest pub the Badgers Set (20 mins walk) is a beautiful location and garden for drinks however food poor in our experience! Really looking forward to returning to the site.

A great site, very friendly owner who welcomed us on arrival and told us where everything was, he explained that there was several pubs you could walk to from the site, the site was level and well looked after, nice short grass, easy access to site from road loads of walks right from the site, Bradgate park, just across the road all in all a super site who could ask for any more. Hope to get back to visit this super site in the future.

Just back from a nice relaxing stay at this 5cl, the facilities are excellent, ideal for access to bradgate park and the owners are very helpful and friendly. With there being so much to do and see in this area I can see this site being exremely popular in the future, we will definitely be back. The only downside is that it is not all year round as it would be stunning in winter with bradgate park being so close by.

We have been to this site 3 times and love it, it's local for us and ideal to come to for a weekend after finishing work on a friday evening.
There is only 5 pitches around the outside of the field that are big enough for your caravan, awning and your car. As the pitches are around the edge there is plenty of grass area for children to play. The electricty points are close to the pitches and there is a tap on the back of each one. There is also a elsen point and bins for recycling and general waste on the site. Dogs are also welcome.
The owner is always there quickly to great you and is very friendly.
The location of the site is brilliant close to some local pubs (the badgers set is the closest)and also just across the road is Bradgate park, we often walk though the park to the other entrance on the other side of the park where there is a couple of cafes and also a little village store that sells amazing ice creams(takes about an hour each way), but there is a cafe within the park if you don't want to walk that far.
Great site very quite will be back again and again.

When we pulled on to the site the owner arrived almost immediately to welcome us. The site was reasonably flat and utterly beautiful with tall, mature trees on two sides and a meadow full of grass and buttercups etc. The electricity and water supply is situated very close to the five available hard standings with plenty of room for your vehicle and full sized awning.
There is a lovely village (Cropston) about a mile away from the site and Anstey is two miles further down the road. Anstey has two supermarkets and lots of smaller shops. There are plenty of pubs. Leicester City centre is approximately ten miles from the site.
Two minutes walk from the caravan site is Bradgate Park. Parking is £5. 00 per day, but due to its proximity to the site, the £5. 00 parking fee you saved can be used to purchase a delicious ice cream or enjoy a cup of tea and a cream cake at the café. Just past the café is the Tudor home of Lady Jane Grey, Queen of England for just nine days. Be careful not to disturb the fallow deer grazing nearby the house. The sharp eyed may also see an abundance of other wild life and birds. If you are feeling energetic you can climb up the hill to the Tower and see the forests and countryside all the way to the horizon.
On the Caravan Site there is an office containing information of other places to visit but it took my wife and I three visits of well over three hours per visit and we still hadn't seen it all.
We have been caravanning for about ten years and this is one of a few sites we would want to visit again and again.
