A quiet, peaceful setting, with a bonus of dog friendly pitch. Super san facs, always spotless.
Space to wander and visit the lovely lake. Ian and Jo were delightful hosts, ever helpful and available, but never intrusive.
Close to Monpazier and other delightful towns.
A return visit beckons!

This is a lovely site with large pitches but with a friendly communal feel to the site First class shower and toilet facilities.
Ian and Jo the owners could not have been more helpful and understanding. Stunning views from the site and in a beautiful area of the Dordogne near Monpazier a beautiful medieval village. A
Site certainly worth visiting and one which we will return to.

What a great place. Situated near Montpazier the site has spacious pitches and the best toilet and shower facilities ever. Very modern and a lot of work has been put in by the very welcoming owners. It's a peaceful site. We booked a dog friendly pitch which was excellent. All pitches have water and EHUs. The area is full of medieval towns and catstles. Chateau Biron is very worth a visit. There are two very small supermarkets in Montpazier together with bakers and plenty of places to eat. It could easily make a Games of Thrones set! There is a small museum in the town for those interested in the towns history.
Caravan storage is available in a large enclosed barn and I would certainly use it if we still had a caravan.
There is a medium sized Intermarche with an automatic laundry about 20 mins drive away.
We would certainly use this site again.

My husband and I have just spent 5 nights at Lune Sur Le Lac we received a very warm and friendly welcome from Jo and Marcus, and they both went out of their way to help us and give us lots of advise, the pitch was huge with fantastic views over the countryside and the most beautiful sunsets ever, WIfI, Electric, Water and Drainage on each pitch and the electric never tripped once, They also have dog friendly pitches fenced in so you could leave your dog free to wander around the caravan, the shower and toilet block is brand new modern and immaculate, there is also a reception area with a lounge and table where you could sit and read or join friends for a meal if it was raining ? There are also 2 fishing lakes and lots of walks,
The site is just a few km from the beautiful town of Monpazier with a Spar open all year and lovely coffee shop and Patisserie where lots of Brits meet up and also lots of lovely restaurants and you could cycle there in about 15/ 20 mins, the site has bikes you could hire, getting to the site is easy on the main road from Monpazier or Belves you will see a water tower on the hill and the house and site is up the track, We would definitely recommend and are looking forward to returning in the spring, its also worth knowing that marcus does storage and removals and breakdown services for caravans so handy to know if you need help with in France ?

Stared for eight nights on this very quiet isolated site. As previously mentioned, the toilet block was immaculate and the showers were huge. The reception area which, we assume, will eventually be a restaurant, was nicely furnished and wi-fi was available here for a reasonable charge. We stayed on one of the two dog friendly pitches which was a lovely idea and only wish there were similar on other sites.
When we were there, there had been torrential rain for the past two days but our pitch was still accessible and we were able to set up.
Jo, the owner, was very friendly and helpful but we had trouble finding the site despite the directions given. Future visitors should look out for the large white water tower by the side of their approach road.

If you accept this campsite is still a project in progress and want to stay in a beautifully peaceful campsite then this is for you. The special dog friendly pitches are a brilliant idea. You need to stock up before arrival as there is no shop available unless you drive to Montpazier or Breves first. The toilet block is first class, clean and plenty of room. There are plans for wifi on each pitch but was not available when we were there so we had to go to the owners house to get into their wifi. There is easy access to many special Bastide towns with all of their history. Expect the typical laid back France and enjoy. Do not use sat nav to get there! There are adequate directions on their website to follow. I have only given a low rating for child friendliness because the site is not really child safe at present, there is a lot of building works still around and an unprotected pond right near the pitches. Each pitch is huge with water and electric hookups. They were working on a restaurant area when we were there so there really was no nearby place for a meal. We were literally the first paying caravaners, extended our stay to 8 nights as it was so peaceful after stressful work and the owners were great. Best of luck in their new venture.
