Just enjoyed 2 nights here, we live nearby and wanted to try out our new tent- its so peaceful here at Lake Farm. The camping field is lovely with donkeys and Shetland ponies next to you during the day which the kids love to see. Chickens roam around too and you can buy their eggs from the 'pop up shop'.
This also sells milk, bread, bacon, tea, coffee, ice lollies etc.
The family that own Lake Farm are very friendly and helpful with anything.
At night you can only hear the countryside no cars -great!
The nearest shop is just up the road to the village shop in Sandlehealth or Alderholt.
Or you can walk through fields & woodland to a village pub, what a fab walk that was.

To get away form it all this site is perfect, but it is a good centre for attractions in the Dorset Wilshire area. The pitch was excellent size, Showers and toilets adequate and spotlessly clean. There was a little 'forgotten essential' shop. The Night sky just wonderful - no light pollution at all. We hired a fire pit from the friendly very obliging owners, who also gave us kindling and fuel, thanks Guys. Bought Fresh eggs from little shop for breakfasts. For the uncomplicated life this is it. We will be back.

Just got home after a lovely weekend at lake farm campsite. It's very peaceful there and relaxing the owners can't do enough for you and are very friendly. The site was very clean and well maintained, toilets are porta loos but keep clean. Electric showers were clean and tidy also. Big pitches. The surrounding area is beautiful. Will definitely be coming here again.

Me and my 2 friends have arrived at the campsite last night and we are staying all weekend, We are very pleasantly surprised at the campsite. It is so beautiful and clean, and our pitch is huge! We woke up to fresh eggs and supplies from the camp shop which is a brilliant idea by the way. Everyone forgets something! I wish I had more time to stay but we will definitely be back! :)
Perfect place for anyone looking for a short break with friends or family
