Stayed here previously and mixed reviews but needed a stop off for one night and a convenient place.
Having a smaller motorhome now the access was was easier and although busy when we arrived got a good pitch with some privacy and extended our stay.
Unfortunately no dog walk on site and a long way from entrance.
As commented previously there are a lot of long stay on site who return every year to the same pitch and take over a bit.

We have stayed here before in early March and enjoyed the site. Despite pitches being tight with low hanging branches it was not too full and we could pick a pitch.
We returned in October and didn’t enjoy our stay. The site was very full. We have a large motorhome which we struggled to get on the pitch they allocated.
I had booked in advance and given dimensions. The site is packed with seasonal campers who put up extra tents/ plantpots/ lights etc right up to their boundaries so you feel hemmed in and it makes negotiating the tight lanes even more difficult.
It was not that pleasant siting outside either with everyone on top of each other.
The facilities are spot on and the indoor pool is a bonus, but we are unlikely to use again at this time of year as too many seasonal pitches spoil the look and feel of the site.

This is our second winter visit and we enjoyed it as nuch as the first visit.
I would endorse some of the previous comments in relation to the narrow roads separating the pitches and the low branches on the pitches.
As it's out of season the site never gets too busy so the small pitches and narrow roads are not a problem however in high season I think it would feel very cramped/uncomfortable and no privacy whatever.
Apart from that we would return as long as it was in the winter.

We have visited this site a number of times, the pitches are a bit tight for motorhomes and overhanging branches can be a prob so care is needed. The toilet facilities are first rate, modern and spotlessly clean. There is now a free dog Spa to wash your dog. It's a pleasant 10 min walk to the beach and about 25 mins into Estartit, all on the flat, in season though there is a trolley type bus A great winter site

This was our first camping trip to Spain and we did a lot of searching as we don't like sites that are too huge, nor too small and basic.
Les Medes has excellent reviews everywhere so we thought it was a safe bet. So I am posting this review just to give a bit of balance. The other reviews on ukcampsite are all from out of season so hopefully a peak season review may help.
The pitches are really quite small and with very little separation. We had absolutely no privacy and never felt truly relaxed.
The toilet blocks, whilst very clean and with very good showers, have music playing and benches inside which attract people and it becomes a gathering place, well into the night! It is incredibly noisy and a very unpleasant atmosphere after dark with groups of teenagers of all nationalities, but also older people tend to gather here with no appreciation of the noise they are making or consideration for those camping nearby. And it gets even worse when it's wet out. We were unfortunate to have a pitch quite close (but not the closest) and constantly had interrupted sleep. Our kids of 10 and 12 felt quite uncomfortable at times. We had 2 sets of neighbours while we were there, a young dutch family and a young dutch couple, and they also found it spoilt their time on the site, so it wasn't just us being fussy.
As we didn't enjoy our pitch it meant we spent quite a bit of time at the bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it had a nice relaxed atmosphere. It was very reasonably priced indeed and the bar food was very good and good value - a definite plus. Without a place to see and relax, have a game of cards and a glass of wine I am not sure how happy a holiday we would have had!
The pool was okay, but do take along a lounger or one of those lounger mats as the uneven grassy surround although very pretty makes it hard to find a comfy spot to relax for the day while the kids have a good soaking. Also in high season they don't open the indoor pool at all, which was a shame.
The surrounding area is okay. The beach is wonderful, and the town which is within walking distance was a bit too characterless and strip-like for us. We had some great days out - Ullastret, Empuries and Girona (felt very French, which was lovely!) - but wouldn't go back.

We spent 2 weeks at this wonderful campsite. The shower and toilet blocks are spotless and we rarely queued even when the campsite was very busy. A lot of thought and attention has gone into the campsite, kids' washbasins and showers, hose for cleaning caravans and line for ground sheets etc.
The bar was excellent. A large glass of wine was 1 euro 50 and a pint of German wheat beer was relatively cheap. The meals in the restaurant were also very good and again good value as was the cost of staying at this campsite. The swimming pool was very nice with a large grassy area for sunbathing.
The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Lidl supermarket was a few minutes drive away on the main road and another very good supermarket was a short drive towards Torroella. Wherever you drove there always seemed a supermarket en route.
We found the nearest beaches to be windy but there was a small sandy but sheltered beach past the port at L'Estartit which was a short bike ride. We particularly liked the coves around Calella Palafrugell and the sheltered beach of Tamariu.

We stayed on this excellent site for 1 month, allowing us to take advantage of a rate that worked out at just about 12 euros a night. Check out their website for details of other discounts which can be had for 1 week or more. Was it worth it? Yes.
We've stayed at this site on 3 other occasions and always come away feeling happy about it. The pitches are large enough and mostly of a uniform size. Tall motorhomes and twin axles have to take care due to low branches on some of the trees which tend to delineate the pitch. All pitches are on a firm, hard sand based but mostly grass free pitch. EHU and water points are fixed to accommodate 4 pitches, ampage being 6 (which can be extended by agreement with reception). Sanitary blocks (2) are excellent, cleaned regularly and include dishwashing and clothe washing basins. Water is hot. Showers and toilets are single sexed but in the same block. Showers are not push button and are included in price. You pay for wifi but at 1 euro a day for 30day stay not expensive and not restricted like some sites to 1 apparatus.
There is a shop selling most basics and bread is available daily. There's also a restaurant, open only from April until end September (I think) but the bar is open all year. The site has 3 pools, one outdoor (summer), one for kiddies and t'other indoor (all year). Play area for children and another for tennis etc. Entertainment for children laid on in summer. Bike hire available, as well as apartment hire
The site is pleasantly situated on the outskirts of L'Estartit but within easy walking distance of the small town and beaches. Good supermarket locally.
The staff are extremely pleasant and keen to promote recycling.
All in all a very pleasant place to stay. Can't really think of what else they could add that I need.
