 Chose the site from the ACSI book as a stopover, but it sounded like our sort of site, which it turned out to be.
The site has been well described before, it is very pleasant with plenty of shade. The pitches were very dry and dusty during a spell of very hot weather, and the wind blew the dust around so much we had to eat inside the van.
Swimming pool very welcome in the hot weather, no changing room at the pool.
Such a short walk to the village we didn't bother getting the bikes out.
We will probably return.

Excellent site on the edge of the village. 3 toilet blocks all kept beautifully clean.
Individual pitches all with water and waste. Five minute walk to the village with bakers, butchers, spar and many restaurants.
Free wifi, tennis courts and swimming pool which is adjacent to the site. Tourist information on site, everything very convenient.

Excellent municipal site set on the edge of a typically pretty Provencal small town, a 5 minute walk gets you to the Boulangerie (3) in town and Butchers. There's also a Spar and various bars, cafes and posh restaurants.
The site itself has 3 sanitary blocks, all very clean and functional, separate sexed showers and toilets. Loo Roll included. Pitches are marked out by good sized hedges and some of them are of a fairly large size.
All a bit higgedly piggedly which is attractive. The site does slope slightly. Water and EHU are set to accommodate 3/4 units on the edges of each portion. W/Machines etc are provided at a cost.
Staff are friendly and the local tourist office is sited within the reception area, which used to close for lunch but now stays open from 8. 30am to 8. 30pm. The site itself shuts the gates at 11pm, wardens live on.
Tennis courts are free, swimming pool opposite site also free in summer. There's a TV room where the wifi is at its best (free), otherwise the further you're away from the office the worse it gets.
Be aware that the Mistral wind does blow often from the North and pitch accordingly.
St. Remy is a 10 minute drive away and Arles and the Camargue are easily reached from site and there is plenty of walking or cycling into the local Alpilles hills that can be done from site.
A very pleasant site but not that cheap for a muni. It cost us, for 2 people with EHU, about 19 euros a night out of high season but it does have a safe, comfy feeling and Maussane is a nice place to be based
