We haven’t been here for a while and stayed in the new shepherds hut as the gypsy caravan had been sold. It has two fixed double beds, one underneath the other (great for kids) and the same facility’s outside- waterless toilet, has shower, camp kitchen and a paddock all to ourselves.

The shepherds hut was super comfy, towels, table, crockery and cutlery, off grid solar electric lights and a usb for charging phones.

We should have stayed longer.

We stayed in the gypsy caravan this year (last year it was the shepherds hut) and we were not disappointed ! It is beautiful, and made by the owner. It has a double bed with a memory foam mattress -great for my bad back ! and if you are bringing children there is a kids bed suitable for under 8's I would say by the size of it. It was in it's own paddock with a private covered outdoor kitchen and a green toilet and shower off it. It is super eco and great for just lazing around and de stressing if you don't want to go off sight seeing. There was everything that is needed for cooking in and on and eating with, if we didn't want to start a fire, the gas camp stove did the job great and the first gas cannister was free too ! There is even toilet rolls, washing up liquid etc provided, we really had no need to bring anything other than ourselves, clothes and toothe brushes. In all a great area, quiet, loads of wildlife and we will be back next year.

We stayed in the shepherds hut for a romantic getaway for 3 nights. The bed is so so comfortable and it had a sofa bed that could have been used had we brought our kids with us. The bedding was included along with some towels. We cooked on the gas camping stove and the bbq that was provided, even the cooking and eating utensils were provided. The green loo was great and the gas shower worked a treat. You could even charge up phones from some solar panels that charged up some batteries - very green ! We saw the bell tent going up while we were there and it looked amazing, with a double pine bedstead, bedding plus air beds for other guests. It also had it's own green toilet and shower, gas camping stove and bbq. To put it lightly we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend anyone who doesn't want the hassle of camping, to go up a notch and go glamping ! Literally everything is thought of to make your stay as restful and pleasant as possible and the owner is incredibly helpful - especially when we had problems getting the fire started to cook our bbq food ! Will definitely stay again.

Location is rural and peaceful and its superb value for money.
