Very easy to find. Reception was well organised. There is a café on site and a small shop. Toilet facilities were excellent and spotless.
There are small and large pitches with oleander hedging. Pitches were sandy with small crocus like flowers coming through the sand.
Like the previous writer 10 years ago we thought that Milfontes was scruffy but now has cleaned itself up and it was pleasant to walk around the streets.
The campsite cats were really friendly and spoiled rotten.

This area was recommended to us but we don't think much of Vila Nova itself. A fairly run down looking habitation full of cafés and restaurants and graffiti. I'd guess it is really busy at the height of the season but we visited in May. The site is very large and the only real grass is around a lovely pool.
The pitches are generally small and probably not big enough to put up an awning but in low season you can pick anywhere to pitch and spread about. If you pick the right toilet block (near the exit and facing the restaurant /cafe ) the loos are lovely with piping hot showers and mine had under floor heating (or possibly the pipes were under my shower) other blocks are less inspiring.
Reception was a bit surly and not over friendly and pitches are sand covered by brown weeds.
On the plus side there is good wifi cover and 10 megabit speed and it's free, and some loos are good. Oh, and the pool looks nice.
It's not really our kind of site and regarding the previous review - the beach is some distance away 10/15 minutes at least and the only way there is out the front gate and along the road, then through various streets. Site surrounded by screened fencing and barbed wire which never inspires me but security may be needed. There are signs everywhere directing you to the site so you are unlikely to miss it.
10% off for ACSI made it €17. 50 approx and further discount for 3+ nights.
