 Anyone who has read other reviews knows that I have specific expectations regarding value and customer service.
I stayed here with my wife and two small children a few weeks ago and I found this park to be terrific value and great service!
On arrival and on the first night I realised that I had not booked a good enough Caravan as I should have booked a Gold Standard van which has double glazing and central heating. Given the time of year the van with only a fire in the lounge was not sufficient. This was my own error though and no fault of the park.
The following day I enquired about an upgrade for the remainder of my stay and was very pleased to get the upgrade at a very reasonable cost in addition to what I had already paid.
The rest of the week was a thoroughly relaxing stay as the park has no bar or club. If you want these things there is a shuttle service to the nearby sister park so you can have the best of both.
I'd also like to give a special thank you to Chris (Chrtistine) the receptionist at the park. She was friendly, courteous, professional and very understanding when I explained about the need for an upgrade.
There is a good playpark for children on the site and another terrific park just up the road near the beach. It's a short walk into the centre of Prestatyn too and easy public transport or drive into the heart of Rhyl.
One tip that you may not know or hear at the park is that if you have friends and family that stay locally to the park (this was the reason for our visit), and they are going to come to visit you at the van, you will want to let reception know in advance as, very reassuringly, they are very aware and will challenge strangers on the site.
The shower in the van was also excellent which everyone knows can be a bug bear of mine.
I cannot say enough how impressed I was with Lyons Lido Beach. We'll definitely be back for our future visits to our North Wales family.
