Great site, no toilet or shower, but everything else, spot on,
Did not have to bring grey waist container, on site brilliant, drainage system, 2 water taps, one can connect to water, container, so no lugging water, in bad weather,
Great views, met the owner on last day, he was mowing grass, very helpful if needed,
We will be back

A well thought out site making for an easy stay with a superb view over the Staffordshire Moorlands.
From the recessed, wide gateway, the effective waste water system, the double taps, Moveable rubber matting on each pitch and levelling blocks provided.
Really well kept grass area, a credit to the owner.

Lovely 5 van site with stunning views over Lask Edge.
Well thought out with each pitch having its own water and trough for direct waste water drainage.
Thoughtful touches such as blocks for leveling units and rubber mat for each pitch.
Great site if, like us you are happy with no toilet block.
We will definitely return.

Amazing views.
Fully serviced pitch with well/thought out facilities: trough to catch get waste, two water taps - one to connect via hose to your caravan (you need to supply this). EHU good.
Area itself is a forgotten corner of England & great walking country. Danebidge / Wincle (lovely pub & separate brewery). River Dane from Danebidge to Gradbach, Lud's Church, Roaches, Shutingsloe & Macclesfield Forest.
Love the site & area. We will be back!

An excellent site with superb views all around. Very good value at £15 per night for a fully serviced site.
Plenty to do and see in the surrounding area and we're looking forward to visiting again.
Definitely one of our favourite sites.

What stunning views this site has! Set in an elevated position overlooking villages and countryside. Friendly owners who keep the site in good condition.
5 pitches all, hardstanding with electric hook up, water tap and grey waste directly from the hose into the drain - brilliant. Secure gated entry with code and very reasonable at £12 per night.
Unfortunately when we stayed, the neighbouring farmers had just sprayed all their fields with slurry which made it a bit smelly, but this obviously was no fault of the site, so unavoidable.
Saw a lovely sunset from such a high vantage point.
No toilet/showers but we had this in our motorhome anyway so all good. Rudyard reservoir in walking distance.

What a little gem of a site, this is the first time my husband, myself and our 2 dogs have stayed on a smaller site and we were a little bit apprehensive, especially for the very low price that we paid for a serviced pitch for a weekend in August.
However, I must say all our expectations were not only met but exceeded. On arrival you can safely pull in and up to the secure gate (coded lock).
The main reason for going to Horton Common was the beautiful views over the Staffordshire Moorlands and the Peak District National Park and the starry sky at night and we were not disappointed.
The owners father came to meet us and explained about the site, how it was developed and what improvements they wanted to make in the future; they are obviously very passionate and care about the site and interesting to know that they have been caravanning as a family for a long time.
There are 5 service pitches which provide ehu, 2 water taps and grey waste disposal and pitches for tents. We were very pleased with the size of the pitches; we were able to get our twin axel caravan, awning and windbreakers up. The site is situated only 4 miles from the beautiful Rudyard Lakes, which we visited with our dogs.
We will definitely be returning to this site. I would recommend Horton Common for couples who want somewhere peaceful, people who want to explore the surrounding area or just enjoy being in the beautiful countryside.
