What a beautiful location. We had a grass pitch with the apple trees in blossom directly behind us.
Henry was a great host, letting us pitch where we wanted, and then pretty much leaving us to ourselves.
There is one toilet and one shower, both housed separately in a facilities shed. These can be locked independently, or you can lock the main shed door. There is a hand wash basin with soap but no towel. The frosted window in the shower isn't very private, it could do with a blind.
Henry's dogs are free to roam, and only occasionally visited the site. They soon left if they got no attention. However, it's very difficult to ignore the pleas of the collie dog, who exists purely to fetch a ball or stick.
We were blessed with good weather so we could make use of the miles and miles of walks direct from the site. We also walked to The Red Lion in Debenham - well worth a visit. You can book a table on their website.
On our last day, we were able to stay as long as we wanted, so we drove to Framlingham for fuel and a look around - if you go, make sure to visit the Two Magpies bakery - it's not cheap, but the cakes are delicious.
Also be sure to buy some apple juice from the cart at the entrance to the site, you can taste the freshness!
All in all, a perfect site for our short break.

Arrived at this site in horrendous rain and it was dark. Fortunately we found an area of hard standing as the grass looked water logged. This particular pitch is too close to the hedge as we were opening our door directly onto the hedge. Similarly the cable box was in the hedge and difficult to access.
The toilet/shower shed is alright. And functional that is about all I could say. It is very clean but there is no means of drying hands near the sink.
Interestingly the following morning the field was flooded and wellingtons were needed to approach the facilities.
I am sure that this site is beautiful at the right time of year but sadly not on a windy and rainy night in December.
The lane to approach the CL field is a little tight and I would hope that the hedges are well trimmed in the growing season.

Lovely site. Henry was a charming and most helpful owner.
Toilet and shower very good. Plenty of walks round the area.
Will definitely go again. One of the best CL sites I've visited

Lovely site, clean and well presented. Surrounded by apples.
Only one downside, the shower was a bit weak, could be more powerful.
Otherwise excellent for the price.

Amazing hidden gem, if you want to just get away from civilisation! Beautiful, quiet and simple site in the middle of apple orchards. You just have to relax and enjoy glorious nature and simplicity.
We came here with our children (3 and 6), both of whom have disabilities; and our dog. The site is fantastically simple, very well kept and the owners could not be more accommodating of our family's needs. Extremely dog friendly. The toilet and shower were always clean and well maintained, as were drinking water and disposal facilities.
We stayed two nights and did not venture off site, being that we are fairly local to the area (hour car drive away from home), but it felt far enough away from the daily grind, that we were able to really appreciate family time and entirely unwind, which was our goal.
It's the sort of place that puts you in a quandary: It truly deserves a fantastic review and Henry and family deserve recognition for the fabulous place it is. Equally, there is a part of you that doesn't want to let the secret out about how awesome this place actually is, because if you want a non-commercial, quiet and unspoilt piece of paradise. This is it. And yet there's a reluctance to share knowledge of this place in the fear that it will ruin the essence of everything that makes it so perfect if masses descend upon it!
Seriously though, absolute perfection for what we were wanting from our weekend away.

This was our first visit to a CL site to try out our new caravan. When we arrived we were met by Henry the owner of the very picturesque fruit farm. He showed us where to pitch, which was a nice and neat kept grass area big enough for five pitches.
There is a small shed that is in the corner of the field that is fully decked out with a toilet and shower facilities. The shower is very clean but could do with a blind in the frosted window for better privacy. The showers are 50p for 5 mins which is plenty of time. Don't forget your 50p's! 😀.
All pitches are electric hookup with toilet emptying facilities too. A lovely quiet site. Would recommend. Also be sure to buy a few bottles of the farm Apple Juice at the entrance to the site.
