Site is opposite the lake which has a good beach area. Beach is busy with locals at the week end. Site has adequate facilities. Our 8m motorhome fitted ok on to the pitch. Evenings and overnight were very quiet. Limited interest in the area (Troyes reachable by car) but there is a flat 2 hour cycle route around the nearby reservoir all the way to Dienville (lots of eating options once there). We stayed several nights because the weather held and we're happy cycling around. Otherwise, It's ok for a stopover.
More a one night stop for us. Facilities a bit dated - showers not good! Small pitches. Location looks better than it is - the lakeside 'beach' is actually quite muddy - guess the reservoir water levels were low. Nice dog-walk through the woods near site though. Would not return as it is quite a way from the main routes north/south. Good weather though!
Had a snack meal at the bar near beach - quite friendly staff!
The campsite is located very near to a lake with a beach about 22kms east of Troyes and has a large number of grass and some hard standing pitches. The site is well laid out with plenty of trees and shrubs. The electricity on our pitch was reverse polarity.
There are two sanitary blocks, we used the one nearest to reception which was not unisex. The ladies contained 6 toilets – four of which are squats, there were no seats on the standard toilets and you need to provide your own toilet paper. Also in the ladies there are 4 showers, 4 washbasins and 1 private washbasin. The showers are a bit dated – the water was warm but the flow was not very powerful and the percussion valve needed constant pressing. My only grouse about the showers is about the light sensors which went out whilst I was showering as no-one else entered the block.
There is a nice outdoor seating area next to reception where you can access free wifi – but the connection sometimes drops out. In the early evenings you can buy takeaway meals which are served on a plate and covered with foil for you to take back to your pitch or you can eat at the small seating area next to reception. The portions are generous, tasty and reasonably priced.
We paid 14€ with ACSI plus tax and would happily return.
