A very well located site that was clean, and very quiet.
Being a small site, it suited us extremely well.
Location very good for access to good walks that are suitable for the dogs.
Looking forward to staying again in the future.

A lovely site with great views of Cadair Idris. About 3 miles west of Dolgellau on the road to Towyn, but make sure not to overshoot as there are some narrow stretches of road further west.
Turn off the main road at Abergwynant farm and follow the CAMC directions. The owner is pleasant without being over attentive.
You can pay the £20 per night by bank transfer, and in this case we thought it was worth it.
There is a lovely walk down to the Mawddach trail for walking or cycling along the old railway track.
Go up the gated road to the lakes below Cadair Idris, and go to Barmouth by the toll road (80p for a car), a pleasant small town with a lovely walk over the beach and harbour.
Dolgellau has a Co op and a Eurospar, the latter expensive but easy to find. We would certainly use this site again if in the area.
The only thing we found strange is that the facilities are near the farm and nowhere near the site. Didn't use them but they looked fine.

Friendly staff especially Martin, close too walks and cycle rides ideal for me.
Facilities good. More for adults and older children. Showers £1 but always hot, toilets clean and hand wash provided. Elsan points clean and safe with hand gel provided.
Not overcrowded well spaced especially during covid.

Stayed here on more than one occasion.
We where over the moon with the camp site and all the facilities.
Both us and our little dogs where made very welcome.
Wonderful surroundings and great walks.
Although we only live a stones throw away from this hidden gem its so nice and peaceful this is now one of our favourites.
The owners always go the extra mile to accommodate us.
We would Highly recommend you give this place a try if you're in the area.
You wont be disappointed.

This is my current most favourite place in the world. What a beautiful location. Truly magical. Very clean and peaceful. Friendly,
Warm welcome. Yes there is a bit of a walk to the toilets and showers but it's a small price to pay. I am a brisk walker and it was 3 mins tops. Water had to be boiled before drinking but this didn't pose any problems and I was there for 9 nights during very hot weather. The walks from site were numerous and utterly delightful. Great spot for exploring southern Snowdonia. Also some fabulous beaches not far away. My dogs loved it too.
It was easy to find with great access. I have already booked to go back. Loved the area and the campsite. I have given 9 out of ten on facilities because they are not modern but they were always clean and functional.

A little gem of a CL, down a long driveway at the bottom of a lane so absolutely no traffic noise. Its a 5 CL with ehu, water, chem disposal, toilets and showers. The pitches are large, all grass but well drained and very flat.
From the site you can walk or cycle through the woods to the Mawddach Trail which runs from Dolgellau to Barmouth (all of road and traffic free). There is a pub on the estuary less than 10 minutes walk along the trail which serves good food and is very popular with walkers and cyclists.
There are a couple of rental cottages on the site but they are well spaced out so its a very quiet and tranquil place. There is a public footpath through the site so other than walkers there is only the cars of campers and the rentals on site.
The nearest shops are in Fairbourne or Dolgellau where you can buy pretty much everything you need, both a 15 minute drive away.
The only thing that might be a negative for some is the toilets / showers are a fair walk from the pitches, not a few yards more like 5 minutes back over to the main farm buildings. Its flat and on a path but worth noting if you have mobility problems.
We loved this site, very well kept, friendly owners and beautifully kept. Would recommend to anyone.
