The site is approached just before the bridge in the drive way to the boat/kayak hire. When coming from Lisle. It is easy to overshoot the entrance.
The site generally was showing elements of neglect, have been a municipal site then recently taken over by the boat hire firm.
Work is being done by the owner but there is a lot to do.
The pitches are divided by mature hedging and trees and are of a large size. The ehu pillars are by each site and is 10amps.
The soil is a bit claggy and can give problems after heavy rain.
The site is on La Dronne and has a bathing area as well as boating.
The sanitaires are old but clean and comfortable.
By the bridge is a very nice restaurant ( Le Pont), however they are a bit snooty if you are eating 'Le Menu' rather than a la carte.
In Lisle there are several small shops, all within walking distance.
The town doctor qualified at Warwick University and has a rather a low opion of the people in the Lisle area!. However he loves to talk English.
Just up the road is Bourdeilles which is a small village still owned by the people in the enormous Chateau. Further up the D78 is Brantome a pretty town beloved by the Brits. ( You get points if you can see a French number plate on a car here)
It is available on ACSI at the lowest level rate, which is probably the correct level.
Great for a night or two but not really a holiday site
