The site is very hilly and when we arrived in torrential rain was very wet with the ground on some pitches very soft indeed as most are on the terraced slope down the hill. Access to some of the pitches is tight. Getting from the camping area to reception on foot entailed a slog up many steps. We found reception very unhelpful each time we asked them anything. Other than that it was an ok site with good sanitary facilities and a great pool complex. The bar was good but underused during our stay and sold tapas, though we didn't try them. The take away and restaurant were good value. There is a supermarket in the row of shops at the entrance. The site claims to have public transport only 0. 2km away, which attracted us, but this is misleading as this stop only has 2 buses a day. The stop for the more frequent service is about a kilometer walk away near the Intermarche supermarket, and uphill which was a problem due to my limited mobility, but the journey to the city was well worth it. We would echo what the previous reviewer said about the 'holiday camp' feel. It was fine for a couple of nights to see the city but we wouldn't want to spend a whole holiday there.

Not a good first review this as we only stayed one night on our way to get the Bilbao ferry and it was not our first choice - which turned out not to take dogs! This was fine as a one night stopover but not somewhere we would want to stay any longer.
Positives:
Large site with good facilities - excellent pool, good bar/ restaurant area, adequate toilet block.
Close to motorway and within walking distance of good surfing beach.
Small parade of shops including reasonable supermarket.
Negatives:
Had no dedicated dog walking area - poor for a site of this size and not very hygienic
As bog standard campers (we used a pop up for one night but normally have a trailer tent) this was not for us though probably fine for a Motorhome. The pitches were not large, had no grass (although lots of leaves in September) and we're far too regimented - neat lines on a terraced hillside. As already stated the facilities seemed fine at a quiet time of year but there was a large section of static properties which were mainly empty. In the middle of summer with all these full this site would feel like Butlins - apologies if you like Butlins but it is not for us!
