We stayed here for 3 nights. The arrival procedure is still as described in the previous review. Very tidy and clean site and facilities. Large pitches. Plenty of room when we arrived on 5th. Free wifi all over the site. The site has its own bakery for that breakfast French stick etc. E. Leclerc supermarket nearby. Lots to do in the area. Ribeauville is pretty place about 10 min walk into town. Plenty of restaurants and bars. Also visit Sipps Winery on the main street for a look into the cellars and then an individual wine tasting session in the boardroom with the bosses wife. You'll have to arrange this before hand. A great place to visit. Campervan, 2 adults with electric cost £12. 72. That's got to be value for money! This is stork country. You can see them nesting on top of buildings in the town and they visit the campsite as well.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay at this municipal site. We arrived during the lunchtime closure and joined 2 other vehicles in the lay-by provided outside the gate. When the office opened at 2pm, reception was very efficient and dealt with arrivals in the order they were parked in the lay-by. We were given pitch options to look at which were kept until we returned with our selection. Pitches are mostly large and a mixture of very shaded to partially shaded. The site was very busy even though it was the middle of September. There is one toilet block and although the the site is large, there are plenty of toilets and showers. Toilets have been renovated for this year and the showers are next on the improvement programme followed by the dishwashing facilities. The site is well managed and looked after. Hedges, roses and grass are all well manicured. Road are in excellent condition. The town is just a 10 minute walk where there is a wide selection of restaurants and shops. It is very much a local town as opposed to a tourist town. This is an excellent site and we shall return there again without doubt.
