 We came across this one by chance, driving along the seafront and the owner was stood at the gate just leaving, reception only open in winter for a coupe of hours each day. There was no one esle on site, owner said we could stay for the night and once we were in he gave us the camp keys and went off for the rest of the day, saying he would be back in the morning to collect our money and get his keys!
The site is small, 50/50 seasonals and tourers. Showers / toilets were clean – 50 cents for a shower, washing machines and driers and wifi available (charged €5 for 24 hours) A few steps onto the beach and around 20 minutes walk along the promenade into town.
Plenty of windsurf boards stored on site, owner said its popular place for windsurfing / surfing.
The town is beautiful, a lovely beach, marina and plenty of shops. Parts of the town are very old with tiny lanes of shops. Two days a week there is a market, food, clothes and giftware. Lovely cafes and restaurants and plenty of historic buildings to visit. Would highly recommend a visit to the town for a couple of days.
The campsite itself was clean and well kept, not the prettiest site but it does what it says on the tin. Its seconds to walk onto the beach and we found owners really helpful and friendly.
For €18 for a night / 2 adults and ehu we would certainly use again.
