 A small family-run campsite, opposite the beach, half a mile west of Finikounda and its shops and tavernas. We have known the site since 2003 and it has improved over the years, though the pitches are small, with little privacy, and larger vehicles find it difficult to manoeuvre around the many trees.
There are washing machines, clean hot showers, a good kitchen with free use of fridge, freezer and electric hot plates, and free WiFi throughout. It is the best all-year site in Finikounda, with long-stay winter discount and a common room with wood-burning fire.
The small taverna/bar serving very good home-cooked meals (eat in or take away) is open two evenings a week in winter. It was good to see the younger generation of the owners' friendly family now involved in running the site.

A family run site that is open all year. Pitches are rather small, not sure anything much over 7 metres would fit on. Caravans with awnings tend to park cars on another pitch.
Pitches are on gravel and most have covered shade tops, all have ehu and there are water taps every other pitch. Toilets and showers are good, in winter you receive a key to your own shower / toilet. There is a communal bbq and a kitchen with fridges and cooking rings.
The site backs onto the beach, sandy with a good stretch of quiet beach behind the campsite. There is a reasonable supermarket 200 metres from the site which sells daily fresh bread and pretty much anything else you could think of.
The village of Finikounda is 2 km away, a further supermarket, two mini-markets and several cafes, tavernas and bars. The village is postcard pretty in a lovely bay. In the opposite direction is the town of Methoni about 8 km away, a fantastic castle to visit and again plenty of bars and shops in town.
The campsite itself is popular for long term winter stays, several nationalities on site, everyone seems to get along very well.
The site is well run and well maintained, price per night including free wife and ehu is €12, or reduced to €11 for stays of more than a month.
