 A really lovely site run by the loveliest helpful owner and his dog Fin.
Nice and relaxing stay and lots of room for 2 small children to run around safely.

We love The Briars and have stayed here a few times now. The owner, John, is super friendly and helpful and always gives us a warm welcome. We stay in our mini camper (car) with an awning and my daughter especially enjoys seeing Rosie the horse each morning in the neighbouring field.
It's reasonably priced and the facilities are spotless and all that we need.
The tree-lined flat field is well kept and spacious so perfect for those that want privacy, and peace and quiet. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and great for walks or cycling.
It's within walking distance of a village shop and a pub/restaurant serving lovely food (who welcome children) and an amazing horse riding school (Bergholt). Lots to explore further afield as well.
We will definitely be returning!

What a delightful small site - exactly the kind of thing we like - lots of space, lovely owners, homemade jam! Limited facilities, but the wc room, and washbasin room always clean and well stocked.
No hard standings, but that was fine when we went, plenty of hook ups for those that need them.
Peaceful, tree lined flat field on edge of village, and SO wonderful to have not a static or storage caravan anywhere on site or in sight!
Village shop and pub (cooked food Sunday lunches only at present) 3 minutes away on foot.
Bentley village is in the centre of a ring of the most beautiful and historic places in Suffolk. From Constable country to waterfront Orford to Stoke by Nayland and Kersey - you could explore here for weeks.
We will be back for more soon!

The Briar is a real hidden gem of a site, the owners John and Cheryl are a lovely couple, very welcoming and helpful.
The site is a lovely flat piece of land with tall larches on one side which act as a great windbreak on what is a very large well maintained field, with lots of wildlife about.
Lots of room to spread out so plenty of privacy for those that enjoy a bit of peace and quiet.
Its a short 5 minute walk to the local pub, which has a local store next to it, and the briar is a great base to explore some lovely parts of Suffolk.

This is a great CS site very spacious, tree lined and level a very peaceful place, close to Manningtree and Ipswich and only 3 miles from Alton Water a great place to cycle or walk, Bentley is a small village but it has a pub which is good news, the site owner John is a very nice guy, friendly and helpful, all in all I had a great time at this lovely quite site it come highly recommend from me.
