 Owned and run by resident English-speaking family. The name is misleading, as the beach lies across a road and down a short lane. In winter it is not a pleasant place to stay.
The site is neglected, the swimming pool and café/bar are closed, the paths are muddy and there are very few accessible pitches for tourers.
It was difficult to manoeuvre between the many trees, with little space among the static caravans and the few German-speaking winter residents. WiFi internet is free by Reception but does not reach the pitches.
The antiquated facilities are long overdue for replacement. Most of the showers are unusable (broken doors, shower heads missing, untiled concrete floors) and the ancient fridge in the dismal kitchen looks like a fire hazard.
At least there is an extinguisher next to it! Two rusty washing machines are held together with sticky tape, though the tumble drier is new.
The site is remote from shops but we were told that a baker calls daily. We never saw him.

Iria beach is a fairly quiet area approx 30-40 minutes drive from Nafplio. The site is just over a quiet road from the beach.
Good sized pitches on gravel, all with ehu. Drinking water taps at entrance to site, also grey dump and chem disposal. Washing machines available €4 per load, there are also hand wash sinks with hot water. Toilet and shower blocks both very clean, plenty of hot water in showers.
There is a bar on site, not open in winter. A daily visit from the local bakers who has bread, cakes, buns etc. Wifi is charged at €1 per day.
Family owned site, they speak excellent English and are very helpful and friendly. Site is kept very clean and tidy, in winter it is popular with winter long stayers.
€16 per night 2 adults incl ehu, really good site and we would use again
