 We booked early at the NEC camping show and got a very good discount (20%) for a beautiful camp-site in a picturesque setting. All the facilities were clean and well cared for, entertainment was family friendly and all finished by 10. 30pm. The on-site shop was adequate for emergencies and the town of Castellane is 5km away for a well stocked supermarket and twice weekly farmers market. Teenage children are easily located under a tree by reception, as this is the only available internet on site! The swimming pool and play area are well kept and the general atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The river is the big attraction, other than the days when water volume is increased for rafting, swimming diving and dam building kept us entertained on site for three weeks. Only a couple of hours drive from the Mediterranean coast for beaches and a change of scenery. Do not miss out on the opportunity to drive the 'canyon loop' it is absolutely spectacular, but do think twice about driving to the top of col d'allos if you or anyone in the car is of a nervous disposition! I would not hesitate to return.
