|
 Small family run campsite in the centre of Saliste village. Good sized pitches all with ehu, easy access to water fill / empty and chem disp. Grass standing but very firm. Secure site with large locked gates and high walls. Toilets and showers are very modern and clean, good hot showers.
The owners are very friendly and helpful couple, on arrival we were invited into the house for a welcome drink of homemade brandy. They both speak brilliant English and are happy to help with any questions and have lots of suggestions of things to see and do.
The village is worth a day or two on its own, some beautiful churches and a few shops which were like something out of history to us, everything served from shelves. Couple of cafes and a restaurant also in town.
Train runs from station just a few minutes walk from campsite, regular connection to Sibiu. The area is also famous for the 18 villages who maintain very traditional cultures - beautiful to visit.
The is a lovely site, although it'sis in the village we found it peaceful and quiet but great for walking to the shops. Would not hesitate to recommend this site.
