Great campsite - loved watching the steam train chuffing up and down the line.
Really quiet at night.
Good sized pitches and a handy little shop on the site.

Lovely quiet site. Adults only 👍🏻 Nice large pitches. Lovely small woodland area to let the dogs off. Beautiful walks. Nice local pub to walk too.
Durdle door beach is a must to visit. Also high cliff castle.
Wi-fi a bit hit and miss.
Lovely welcome when we arrived

An absolutely delightful site. I could even say one of the nicest we have ever been on.
The grounds are beautiful and kept very clean and tidy. The pitch sizes are large and nicely set out.
The owners bend over backwards to help you out. Can’t wait to revisit.

Sshh! Don’t tell anyone about this hidden gem, I don’t want to see it get totally booked up! It’s so tranquil and picturesque. Sitting on an evening by the fire pit, listening to the bird song is sheer bliss!
I love that it’s small so will never feel crowded. I love that it has WiFi - kept my teenager very happy!
It’s in a great location too so easy to access days out. We’ve booked for two more visits for this summer.

Just spent 4 nights at this site. It was recommended by friends who had stayed a week ago.
This is a very peaceful site amongst oak trees, within walking distance of the local pub, via a short footpath. Bridgette and Alan were very welcoming and the site very well kept. Close to Wimbourne, plenty of foot paths and easy reach to NT properties.
The only criticism I would have is that it was too expensive at £23 per night given there were no other facilities (shower, WC, although these are planned). I would have thought £14-£16 would be about right. Other than the price it was perfect

FANTASTIC !
If its peace and quiet your looking for then you wont be disappointed with Dapplewood, even better if your a dog owner as they are made very welcome and not just tolerated.
We have just spent six days here and found it perfect for exploring the Dorset coast and countryside, there is a dog exercise area through the woods on site, ideal for the early morning late evening walk, the surrounding area is full of walks and places to visit, the host were most welcoming and you must try their apple & pear crumble which was delivered to our door piping hot and with fresh cream, ( to die for).
The electric hook up never tripped once even with heating and cooking going on at the same time. Shops and take aways are ten minutes down the road where you will find everything you need but a short drive and your back in the middle of nowhere. A real enjoyable stay and will be returning without a doubt, Many thanks

We have just come back from a wonderful weekend at this absolutely charming campsite. It is hard to know what to praise the most: the picturesque location set amongst majestic trees with plenty of light and shade, fabulous views or the welcoming hosts who put you right at ease.
This has got to be the most underrated campsite in the south of England, an absolute treasure choc full of charm and new things to discover.
I really cannot recommend this lovely place highly enough.
