 Just off the ring road and approx 5 km from the old city in Krakow. Site entrance on the road was closed and cones on the entrance. We rung a doorbell and gates opened automatically. There is another entrance if you follow the road up past the gates.
Check in quick and told to pitch where we wanted. Top of site is well set out with space for approx 20-25 units. There is a very large lower area but this was closed when we were there. Ptches are not marked out so seems to be pitch where you can.
Toilets / showers very clean, hot water seemed an issue when its quiet. We told owner no hot water and were told you need to run taps for at least 5 minutes, she told us when busy its constant but needs all taps turned on to bring it through when quiet.
Cafe / bar on site, neither open despite there being several units. Washing machines €4 per load plus a handwash sink. Free wifi across the site, several water taps dotted around site.
Bus from bottom on hill to tram terminus then tram into city. £3 for an all day ticket, takes about 20 minutes each way. There are cycle paths all over the city and a lovely 15 miles circular flat route from outside the campsite, out to the white water rafting centre, the monastery and back around the river.
So much to see and do in the area, Auschwitz is less than 40 mins drive, the Salt Mines are 30 minutes - both of which campsite can organised trips to for those not wanting to drive. Then there is the city which you could take days to explore, its breath-taking.
