 Campsite is on the edge of the small historic town of Sandmomierz, less than 10 minutes up the hill behind the site and you are in the old town square.
Campsite has hardstanding stone drives for motorhomes and caravans, grass was well cut and cuttings taken away so they weren't trodden into the van. Pitches all had ehu, there were two very long hoses attached to fresh water taps which reached all pitches. Free wifi was available throughout the site.
Loos and showers were immaculate, good water pressure and very hot water at all times. Plenty of wooden benches on pitches for everyone to use. There is a bbq area which is in the middle of a small lake with a bridge to reach it - very neat.
On the other side of the road from the campsite is a small shopping centre with supermarket and several ladies clothing shops. There are a couple of large DIY stores and a large market is held there a couple of times a week.
In the old town there are plenty of historic buildings to visit and several pavement cafes in the town square. You can visit the underground passageways beneath the town on certain days. There are a number of shops in the square, many selling antique type stuff but also some fairly decent quality gifts.
On one side of town is a river which has a leisure area for sailing, canoes etc. There are several good bikes paths and routes, one which takes you through the apple orchard area and is stunning.
Campsite owner doesn't speak English but it was easy to gesture on number of nights, price etc. This is a very good site in a beautiful area well worth visiting.
